Just wanted to introduce my self as an admin on this page .

My names Lu I live in Winnington and I wanted to share my story.

Back on 15th October 2021 I found out that my 7 year old son Chance had stage 4 aggressive large B cell diffuse lymphoma cancer ,
Sadly he passed away 4 weeks later on the 15th November 2021 in such a short space of time me and my family went through the most traumatic thing I’ve ever had to experience completely out of the blue the worst time of my life.
Since his passing I have struggled to seek bereavement help as the waiting list is over 6 months long and still to this day haven’t talked to a professional about it .
I haven’t been offered any any sooner as there just isn’t the facilities to provide the demand.

Since this happened I took to going into the salon just to have people going through a similar situation around me - knowing that those people felt exactly how I felt and had days good and bad just like me has started to help me.

Controlling the feeling of whether or not you where allowed to be upset and traumatised was really difficult for me to juggle specially also having to look after my 1 year old little boy at the same time.

The pain of loss hurts so bad regardless of how it happened and by having people sharing similar feelings to you around you helps.

I’m looking forward to the weekly group meeting just being able to talk about the delicate situation around people who get it I feel is going to help me so much.

After an amazing response to my post I invite you to join us at the salon for our first meet 14/3/2022 from 6 pm , this will give people the opportunity to tell their story , not say anything , meet people . Pop in for 5 mins or stay for 5 hours. It’s about supporting people in our community who need advice / friendship group . Mental health support . Help with a bereavement or just need to meet new People , I have a small salon so let’s see how it goes and may by the looks of it have to change the venue later depending on demand ❤️❤️

Hey guys … after recent life changes with me and Ella Gibney and coming across lots of people that are suffering with their mental health etc .. we would like to invite people over for a chat / coffee and meet up session regular to chat , winge , wine and let their anxiety’s out together . A chance to meet new friends and a chance to chat and let things out , have a cry or have a hug . The salon will be closed and will make these regular sessions . Who would be interested ? Please send us a message on our page and times that would suit people . We are closed sun - Tues all day so this may be perfect. And can do most evenings ❤️❤️
