This is from a stressed out teen who booked in for Reiki & Crystal Therapy ahead of their exams 🙌🏽

I was honestly just super humbled & happy for them, reading this 🥹

We all know that exam pressure can be intense. I mean, the overwhelm of even trying to revise while your entire nervous system is already in overdrive is just exhausting - and that’s before you even start 😔

But regulation of our nervous system looks like this 👇🏼
- Stress free revision
- No overwhelm thinking about what needs to be done
- Actually being able to focus & retain information

Our children are navigating more than ever in todays world. They’ve got not just exams, but social pressures (including 📱’s), hormonal shifts, and the sheer intensity of growing up in today’s world. They carry tension & stress in their bodies just like everyone else.

*BUT* when your nervous system is calm, life becomes more manageable. Studying doesn’t feel impossible & tasks aren’t so overwhelming. There’s mental capacity to actually think clearly.

To all the parents: if your teenager is struggling with stress, anxiety, or generally feeling overwhelmed, then energy work can support them - if they’re open to it. It’s gentle, non-invasive & gives them tools to regulate their own nervous system.

Natural modalities aren’t just for grown ups who’ve accumulated decades of buried emotions, and sometimes the best thing we can give our children is to help them learn nervous system regulation early on in life.

“There’s nothing wrong with you, maybe try yoga or lose weight”

Suffering from years of pain, but that’s what lots of us women hear. Then our tests come back normal and symptoms get dismissed. You’re told it’s stress, anxiety, or ‘just hormones’ 🙄

Medical gaslighting may very well not always be intentional, but it’s still absolutely devastating.

When your experience doesn’t match what the tests come back with, conventional medicine often comes to a halt, no longer looking for a cause - it’s in our head or we’re hypochondriacs. If blood work is normal and scans are clear, you’re told nothing’s wrong, but your body is screaming otherwise.

I learnt that just because something can’t be measured in a lab, it doesn’t mean it isn’t real.

Energy work covers what conventional medicine often misses: the emotional elements of the physical symptoms, how trauma is stored in our tissues, the whole mind-body-spirit connection, and ultimately patterns across your whole system. The body is not a multitude of machines put together, it’s one machine with multiple components which all work together.

No, I am *not* saying skip your doctor. But I am saying there’s more to healing than what standard medicine can see.

Your body isn’t lying to you. It’s speaking a language that needs different listening. Whether it’s whispering to you or screaming at you - please listen.

If you’ve been dismissed or gaslit - hey, I believe you!

And I work with what medicine misses.

In the 1980s, psychologist James Pennebaker ran experiments that proved what healers have always known: your body pays a physical price for holding down difficult emotions.

His participants wrote about traumatic experiences for just 15-20 minutes daily over a few days. The results were measurable - fewer doctor visits, improved immune function and lower blood pressure.

The control group who wrote about neutral topics experienced ZERO changes.

Not pseudo science.
Real documented science.

What Pennebaker proved is that suppressing trauma takes actual physiological energy that shows up as stress on your immune system, blood pressure and overall health

And so I recommend writing to my clients. Release it. Get it out of your body.

Journalling about what’s coming up.
Writing letters to people or situations from your past - things you never got to say that you play over and over in your mind and heart.

Then burn it and release it back to Mother Earth 🌍

It’s not just symbolic, it’s your nervous system getting permission to stop holding what was never meant to be carried forever.

The study used structured writing whereas I combine writing with energy work in the therapy room.
Both address the same truth:

✨what’s unexpressed doesn’t disappear, it gets stored and shows up as physical symptoms, a weakened immune system and chronic stress ✨

And so we focus on release, not just relaxation (although that does play a huge part).

Your body isn’t just tight - it’s holding emotions that never got processed (why deep tissue isn’t always needed!)

So you *don’t believe* in energy healing. I’m not here to convince you, I know that when you’re ready to understand it, you’ll know I’m here.

But here’s the thing - whether you ‘believe’ in it or not, quantum physics shows us that everything is energy. You, me, the chair you’re sitting on, the air between us - it’s all vibrating, just at different frequencies.

That’s not spiritual woo-woo. That’s science.
That’s true-woo.

When we get down to the atomic level, there’s more empty space than solid matter. What we *categorically know* to be solid is just energy vibrating slowly enough that we perceive it as dense.

So energy healing modalities aren’t about belief - they’re about working with what already exists. What was here before everything else.

Your body has an electromagnetic field (the heart has the strongest EMF in the body).

Your nervous system runs on electrical impulses which is measurable, and well documented science.

Energy modalities simply work with these existing systems that conventional medicine often overlooks or claims as ‘alternative’

So to the non-believers: I’m not asking you to take a leap of faith. I’m inviting you to be curious about what’s already happening in your body that you simply may not be paying attention to.

Another week has been & gone… 😳

So I did a ‘thing’ on Wednesday 👀 ofc more info coming soon, but it was absolutely amazing being around some incredibly awesome women 🫶🏻✨

🍂 y’all know I’m a summer gal so I need help getting into the Autumnal vibes… hence the cassia, wild orange and cinnamon have been in the diffuser A LOT!

🏔️ I felt awe (and rather small) driving through the Peak District - wide open spaces that and I just HAD to stop for to take some pics 🥹

🕉️ Super privileged to hold an empowering chakra balancing workshop with on a weekend retreat - there’s nothing quite like watching women connect with their energy in a group setting; interactive, supportive and teaching tools for day to day living 🫶🏻

🌿 I Did-Not-Know that we had a New Zealand right here in the UK 😂 (my geography knowledge is not the best)

💃 Compromised with Dirty Dancing for much needed nostalgia cause Pretty Woman isn’t available to stream 😏 (all stemmed from singing my heart out to Roxette obviously)

🌸 Remembering someone who left us too soon ✨I was in Croatia 2 years ago on the day of the funeral so I made my own way to honour them & release - wisdom sharing here: showing face at church isn’t always the best thing for our own healing 💜🧡🤍🩷

⛳️ The Ryder Cup - what a watch!! I do not like sports typically. I’m not a fan of this raving culture. Urgh. But Golf and Darts I do enjoy. Maybe it’s because they’re predominantly individuals not teams? Anyhow…

To sum it all up, this week had it all - new adventures, beautiful landscapes, amazing clients, meaningful work, simple pleasures, and moments of remembering.

Life really is about collecting a whole host of experiences and holding space for all the feelings that come along with them.

Capturing the essence of exactly why I hold this space for you.

My client isn’t claiming everything has been magically fixed, just being real about their experience. And that’s what genuine healing looks like.

Not perfection, but noticeable shifts that make daily life more manageable.

When your nervous system gets the support it’s been craving, you show up differently… everywhere… work, your kids, your relationships.

You’re not carrying the same burdening energetic weight anymore.

So what I love above this space is that the ripple effect of energy work goes far beyond the treatment room.

And when you feel soothed and calmer internally, everything else starts to feel more manageable.

This is why I focus on working with your entire system (because that’s what holistic means) = healing one part of you affects every part of your life.

When life feels overwhelming and you can’t see a way forward - I’ve been in that place.

Where getting dressed feels impossible, where social anxiety keeps you trapped in your house, where the thought of existing for another day feels too heavy.

The spiral is real - anxiety feeding depression feeding more anxiety. Medications that numb and mask but don’t truly heal. Therapy that helps temporarily, but doesn’t touch the deeper patterns and imprints.

But what I learned through my own journey out of that darkness:

🫶🏻Your nervous system needs actual support, not just coping strategies. The patterns that create anxiety and depression live in your body and energy field, which is why energy work can be so transformative.

We work *with* your system, not against it. No forcing and zero pushing through. Just gentle, consistent support that helps your body remember it’s safe to feel calm 🤍

If you’re in that spiral right now, please know - it’s not permanent. Your system can learn to feel safe again.
