This short video covers the curvature of the spine and its relationship to low back pain. There is no definitive answer as to whether a flatter back or a pronounced lumbar curve directly causes back pain. It’s a multifactorial issue that requires a holistic approach to understand. Below are the papers referenced in the video, and I look forward to addressing any questions you may have.

Note: There is always conflicting data on topics like this, and it ultimately depends on the individual case. We avoid making blanket statements, as each patient is unique. Some of my insights are evidence-based, while others are drawn from my experience as a Graduate Sport Rehabilitator in clinical settings.
