I met a lady the other day and she was worried about an appt she had coming up and had a couple of Fears and Phobias. A mutual friend asked me to have a chat with her. Her first reaction was to say her daughter was hypnotised once and then said " I will be ok thanks" . I knew from this response that she may have had the wrong impression about Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. So not to push myself at her, I explained how hypnosis and Hypnotherapy are not the same. She responded again and said she has an open mind so would give it a go. I had a chat with her for about an hour, i explained the brain and how it runs our lives daily and how we sometimes let it OVERRUN our lives. I sent her my relaxation/trance MP3 to listen to at bedtime because she was waking up at 1am every night ..not good...anyway, that night, MP3 , 9 hr sleep right through..a generally very positive lovely lady who just has too much going on in that little stress bucket in the brain. Just a gentle nudge is sometimes all we need. Knowledge that WE are what we think, WE are what we do. Don't let the negativety take control .
