Daneside Court residents have been decorating their Christmas cakes! They made the fruit cake way back in October, so it was such a joy to see it finished.

But we want to introduce you to Derek Law (resident); we're thrilled to share this adorable moment! This little one came to visit her great Nanna Win, and she was practicing her walking. She found herself stood by the side of Derek, who naturally leaned over, picked her up, and placed her on his knee. Derek was cuddling her and gave her a kiss.

Last week we had a visit from the Cloughwood Academy Boys to Daneside Court.

These young students have learning difficulties, and they are invited to spend quality time with our residents. This offers students a valuable learning experience and allows them to interact and learn from one another.

Of course, our residents love the company, and the boys made Christmas cards. Also, they got to meet our cat, Tinker; they were very impressed. Great morning for everyone. 🎅

Last week at Daneside Court was the Nursing Floor Christmas Party, and the pictures show the residents having a wonderful time! 🎉

Everyone enjoyed the flowing alcohol, a delicious buffet from the Kitchen Team, and fantastic music from Deborah McCormick. It was such a great night that nobody wanted to go home! Can't wait for the next celebration! 🙂

Christmas bingo - but playing Christmas songs, and Crimble Crumble for afterwards. 🙂

We managed to capture the Crimble Crumble, apple or rhubarb served with crumble and a choice of toppings, Ice cream, custard, or pouring cream. It was such a delight and yummy!

St Bede's Choir, Weaverham, have become a delightful visitor to Daneside Court. On Tuesday 9th, they brought joy to our residents with lovely Christmas songs and good cheer.

These beautiful people generously give their time to offer comfort and support. Phil, the head of the Choir, plays the guitar, and he thinks we are simply wonderful!

What a delightful Tuesday it was! On 9th December, Daneside Court residents had an invite to watch the Christmas Nativity at Church Walk Primary School at 1.30pm.

They were spellbound, with Win giggling at the little ones, saying how sweet they looked in their Nativity clothes, while Pat was crying tears of joy, overwhelmed by the little ones and reminiscing about when her daughter was small.

It was such a lovely afternoon for both Win and Pat. 🎅

What an amazing afternoon we had at Daneside Court on Sunday.

Elvis was poorly and couldn't make it to our afternoon event, but we had the lovely Dave and Sara Durnall, and Tim Wilding as Father Christmas.

What more could we ask for, fun, singing, laughter it was just brilliant. Our residents left very happy.

Oh, and we also had a surprise guest, Ginger Woman, wow what an entry she made and Ginger got on that dance floor and shook all she had! I can't say anymore apart from it was fab-u-lous!

The sound and the (two-stroke) smell of the Scooter Boys arriving at Daneside Court yesterday!

The Northwich Omega Scooter Squad Coalition, along with the boys from the Liverpool Club, Cheshire Old Boys, South Cheshire Scooter Alliance delivered Christmas gifts for our residents.

Mo, the manager at The Stanley Arms, Anderton in Northwich, raised funds to help pay for the Christmas gifts.

Delamere Street café also made a donation.

The annual delivery of the Christmas gifts is such a pleasure to receive and our residents really appreciate them, plus they get the opportunity to see these beautiful scooter’s and chat to the riders.

We are really lucky and we can’t thank everyone enough for their fantastic gesture.
