💜My pregnancy class in Northwich is much more than yoga - it's a space to meet other parents to be, learn to advocate for yourself throughout your pregnancy, birth and beyond, feel more confident and understand your choices. We have time to chat and fill in the gaps from short NHS appointments, I signpost you to further information and ensure you know how and when to ask more questions of your medical support teams.

AND we do gentle, mindful yoga with breathwork which supports your pregnant body, builds techniques for a positive and active birth and supports issues such as PGP and Pelvic Floor support.

“Hi Sarah, just wanted to tell you how useful I found your pregnancy yoga classes! I found the breathing techniques and positive affirmations sooooo useful for labour. Also the chat in the group sessions made me feel so much more confident with my whole pregnancy and helped me advocate for myself in pregnancy and birth. It wasn't my plan A or plan B birth but it was OK and I felt I had the tools to ask the right questions. So, THANK YOU!!” Tayla

Do you Journal?

I often include journaling prompts in my events and retreat sessions because it is so helpful to take time to pause and reflect. Getting thoughts down on paper with words, drawings or doodles can be really helpful in clearing the clutter, easing emotions, and finding spa before solutions or ideas. It's a form of mindfulness and re-connects you to yourself.

You'll find some journal prompt posts on my blog if you're looking for something to get you started and a blank page is a bit too intimidating!

If you fancy any of the journals I mention (I'm not affiliated to any of them I just genuinely love them) head to

for Practice You Journal
for the Moon Journal
for The Artists Way

And you'll find them in book sellers too.

My new programme Rest Reflect and Renew will include some beautiful journal prompts and ideas for reflection for self-employed women. Head to my bio for more info.

I'd love to hear about how you journal in the comments.
Are you a daily journaler?
An occasional journaler?
A morning or evening journaler?
Do you have and journaling tips?

💚Have you recently had a baby? Would you like to do a gentle baby class in Northwich AND support your early postnatal recovery? Come and Join Mum and Baby Yoga in Cuddington.

As a pre and postnatal yoga teacher I am passionate that women are supported well through birth and the postnatal period. With the 8 week check being the only postnatal care for most women, we can be left feeling a bit lost as we navigate the huge changes in our body whilst also caring for our little one.

💚In my class I will support you to find confidence in your body. We’ll gently re-align the pelvis and spine, and ease aches and pains through gentle postnatal recovery and breathwork techniques. You will be able to find support for the areas that are most needed for YOU and confident in your pelvic floor and abdominal recovery . Suitable for anyone, regardless of the kind of birth you have had and no previous yoga experience is required.

💚 You will learn some gentle fun baby yoga movements for your baby which support your baby’s development - including techniques to support sleep and digestion issues.

💚We're baby led - crying, changing and feeding all happen throughout class, and sometimes sleeping!

Classes include time to chat with other mums and as a team member of I will help to signpost you to services and support you might need for your individual postnatal journey.

Tessa Venuti Sanderson Unalome Healing - Northwich & **IT DONE CLUB: connect - co-work - collaborate also offer spaces to connect with inspiring women.

I'm grateful for you all 🙏

Throughout my self-employed career, I’ve always sought out like-minded women. When you work on your own, you crave someone to bounce ideas off, and to share challenges and wins.

My husband is wonderful at listening and supporting me — but he’s not self-employed, and he’s not in my world of supporting local people through yoga. The same goes for other family and friends. They ask how my classes are, some come along, and some share my offerings with others (thank you — I love you 💕). All of this helps my business grow.

But I also need a different kind of support — from people doing something similar to me, locally and on the ground. People who understand the current climate, work on their own, and are passionate about helping others.

Whether I’m meeting my “wonder women” one-to-one or in groups, I’m reminded how important community is. Not working alone all the time. Realising we’re facing similar challenges. How a smile, a hug or a cuppa can make challenges feel lighter — and help us return to our work and lives inspired.

I also see how tired we often are. While self-employment offers flexibility around children, caring responsibilities and lifestyle, it isn’t easy. We are the CEO, marketer, content creator, finance director, cleaner — the list goes on. And when things dip, we’re the ones in the firing line.

We are givers. Passionate. Often self-sacrificing — sometimes until burnout. We can’t do it all, all of the time, without care and support.

Inspired by this community, I’ve created Rest, Reflect and Reconnect — a small, nurturing group for 6–8 self-employed women, meeting over 6 months. A confidential, non-judgemental space to slow down, reflect, reconnect, and feel supported — so you can show up with more ease.

If you’d like to know more, head to my bio or website, or get in touch for a chat to see if Rest, Reflect and Reconnect feels right for you.

Yoga is not a competitive practice. It is a practice that connects you deeply to yourself - your body and your mind. It helps you to see your uniqueness, your individuality and dials down your ego.

So if you are usually a competitive person, yoga is an ideal way to work with that competitiveness, to let go of striving to reach a goal or to do what the person on the mat next to you is doing. Instead yoga encourages you to be present with where you are at, to work where your body and mind are in the moment. This can be a challenge, but very freeing.

If you are a less competitive person, yoga can really validate the ability to be exactly where you are, to work within your physical ability and to let go of any need to be like anyone else.

I encourage everyone in my classes to work at the level they are at and with their body and mind as it is on the day. I give alternatives, options to rest or to add more into the pose or practice so that everyone in the room can enjoy their yoga. Yoga always meets you where you are.

There's a role for competitiveness, but not in the yoga space!

Just starting a yoga class? Or working with an injury? Or just looking for some variety?

Here's a few Downward Facing Dog to floor transitions to try.
This transition needs a combination of arm strength and core strength which not everyone has. So bringing the knees down can really help.

Whether you do slower Hatha yoga or a faster paced vinyasa style these transitions can help make down ward dog to the floor more accessible, or offer you more strength practice as you develop your practice or recover from injury.

We've been working with dog pose in our Northwich yoga classes recently and discovering some of the stories behind the pose. All my classes offer accessible options and help you to practice your yoga at your own pace whether a beginner or more experienced student.
