This time of year can quietly drain people, even when everything around them looks bright.

You might be showing up, smiling, getting through it, while inside things feel flat, tender or heavy.

Or you might be navigating tension at home, distance where you hoped for closeness. Conversations that feel harder than usual.

You might be carrying loss, worry, or a low hum of anxiety about what comes next with very little space to put it down.

If that’s you, you’re not failing at feeling festive or at relationships or at life. And you’re not a burden.

You deserve gentleness, support and to be met where you are.

You’re welcome to send a message if this brings something up for you. Replies aren’t always immediate, but support is available.

Love isn’t something you have. It’s something you make.
Again and again.

Ursula K. Le Guin said it best:

“Love doesn’t just sit there, like a stone. It has to be made, like bread; remade all the time, made new.”

The couples who last aren’t the ones who never struggle.

They’re the ones who keep choosing to roll up their sleeves. To knead, shape, and remake connection, even when it feels hard or messy.

Because love isn’t self-sustaining. It’s a practice. 💛

Taking some proper time off lately has given me space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with why I do this work in the first place.

Time away has a funny way of showing you what’s working. And what’s not.

I’ve spent the past few weeks getting honest with myself about where my energy goes, what feels meaningful and what I want to create next.

Change is coming (the good kind). I’ll share more soon, but for now just know: things are evolving and it feels right. ✨

Ongoing learning, always ✨

S*xual problems are a common outcome of cancer and its treatment, but they're often overlooked.

I’m currently deep in advanced training on the complex relationship between s*x and cancer, looking at how it affects hormones, s*xual function, body image, identity and the emotional and relational fallout that can happen.

Because cancer doesn’t just affect the body – it can affect our sense of self, how we feel in our skin, how our bodies work and respond and how safe or connected we feel in intimacy.

I’ve worked with clients navigating desire and s*xual function changes after cancer. Often they describe feeling blindsided by the impact on their s*xual selves, alone, or broken. This training is helping me deepen my understanding and do better by them.

S*xuality is about far more than in*******se. It’s about touch, arousal, response, meaning, and connection – with ourselves as well as others. Cancer, and its treatments, can disrupt all of this.

Ongoing CPD like this helps me support more clients, more confidently – with compassion, evidence, and the right tools to help.

Supervision that supports your clients, your practice, and you.

I’m really proud to share that I’ve now officially qualified as a clinical supervisor through CICS. 🎉

Supervision has always been a space I value deeply – a place to pause, reflect, grow, and feel held. Now, I’m offering that space to other therapists.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real-world practice. I work integratively with a person-centred foundation, and I welcome therapists from all modalities. I also bring specialist experience in s*x, relationships, identity, and desire – and a commitment to inclusive, ethically grounded support.

If you're looking for supervision that offers both high nurture and high challenge – I’d love to connect.

Here’s to the next chapter ✨✨✨

How often should we come to therapy?

It’s a question clients often ask – and there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.

✨ Weekly sessions can help build momentum and keep things emotionally connected.
✨ Fortnightly sessions can give more space to reflect and may feel easier to manage alongside daily life.

There are pros and cons to each – and what works best might depend on how you're feeling, what you're working on and what fits practically.

The most important thing? Finding a rhythm that supports you to show up, stay engaged and move forward together.

There’s no right way – just the one that works for you.

Coming back to therapy doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

Life shifts. Things change. New stuff comes up. Old stuff flares back up. Or sometimes you just feel a bit stuck again and want someone to sit beside you while you untangle it.

A client got back in touch recently, saying they had something they wanted to work on again. No drama. No shame. Just that quiet inner knowing: counselling helped before, maybe it could help again.

And I love that.
Not just because they reached out. But because they chose me again. That kind of trust? That’s never taken for granted.

Coming back to therapy isn’t going backwards.
It’s choosing support, clarity, and care. Again.
And that’s a strength.

A little behind the scenes from therapy life…

Yesterday was clinical supervision – a space where I talk to another experienced therapist about how I’m doing in my client work, get another perspective, make sure I’m working safely and ethically… and honestly, it’s also part of how I stay steady and grounded so I can hold space for others..

I always come out of supervision feeling settled and nurtured – and yesterday, it was especially lovely to hear how highly my supervisor rates me. Those moments land deep.

This week after a couple of weeks break, I’m:
✔️ Back to a full appointment schedule
✔️ Starting with some new clients
✔️ Diving back into my Advanced Diploma in Psychos*xual & Relationship Psychotherapy with (after a reading break where, let’s be honest, not much reading happened 🫣😉)
✔️ Catching up on OTM with the wonderful
✔️ And launching something I’m really excited to share – my free guide: Speak So You’re Heard – 7 small shifts to change how you communicate in your relationship. Keep an eye out – it’s coming very soon. 💬
