Phew, what a week of services! Six in all, taking me to St Helen's Crematorium, Walton Lea in Warrington, Birches Crematorium & Remembrance Park Vale Royal Crematorium and Tabley Cemetery in Knutsford. Two of the services were for companies I've not worked with before, Graham Tresidder & Son - Crewe & Nantwich Funeral Services and Unsworth’s Funeral Service, the others were for Prescot and also Warrington Coop, Dodgson and Bell, and Pope Funeral Services.
The two new company funerals were for a local gravedigger's father, (I've known the son for ten years), whilst the other came about because I had been spotted in action at another funeral and the widow asked me to officiate at her late husband's funeral.
Of course, every service is unique and every person special to their family. As I've said before, it is a tremendous privilege to help families at one of the hardest times they ever have to face.
Today, I attended my seventh funeral this week and played piano, leading worship at the funeral of a lady I knew from the church I attend, King's Church Frodsham. My wife and I are good friends with the family and I was blessed no end to be asked to provide the music for the service.
My sincere thanks to each and every family that entrusted the service of their loved one to me. ♥️
