What a brilliant Monday afternoon we've had. Amanda and the children from Sandiway Primary School joined us. There was laughter, singing, instrument playing and some great memories being made.
The pupils from Sandiway were smiling from ear to ear and their enthusiasm was wonderful to see! It has been such a privilege to watch these pupils grow in confidence and form friendships with our residents.

We have been looking at nutrition and hydration over the past week and why it is so important. Our residents explored a range of different hydrating drinks on Friday and it was lovely seeing their reactions.
Jean said the pink lemonade was very fizzy and full of bubbles. Geoff tried some mango juice and said it was delicious! Sylvia & Betty went for fizzy apple juice which they described as refreshing 😊

We made the most of a sunny spring afternoon today.
Our Scrabble ladies sat out in the sunshine and we had several families and residents enjoying our peaceful gardens.

Our mother's and daughters had a fantastic afternoon yesterday for Mother's Day. It was lovely to see families spending time together and enjoying each others company.
There were plenty of cakes and drinks on offer which everyone enjoyed.

The ladies had a wonderful afternoon earlier this week. They decided to do some baking and they all rolled their sleeves up and got stuck in!
Rosa talked about how she liked to bake when she was little & Helen shared stories of the cakes she'd made for her children.
The best part was enjoying the finished cake the next day 😊

We had a fantastic afternoon when the choir from St Bede's Catholic Church came to visit. Their visit is always lively and it was great to see all the residents singing and joining in 😊

It has been lovely to see the lounge so full of residents and families today. Everyone picked their favourite song and picked an instrument too. Then we all sang and played along.
The home was filled with singing and laughter. What a wonderful Friday afternoon 😊

We made the most of the beautiful Spring weather and ventured out into the garden yesterday. The breeze was a bit chilly so we found a sheltered sunny spot & grabbed some blankets.
Ann, Gabriel & Colin enjoyed the fresh air and the chance to have a cup of tea outside.

We had a fantastic afternoon today when Lostock Ukuleles came to play for us. All our residents were singing and clapping along to a variety of songs.
It was extra special as Tony, one of our residents, used to be in the band and it was lovely to see how happy he was listening to the music and meeting his old friends.
