A lot of people assume breathwork is intense or emotional…
like it’s going to bring everything to the surface.

But what I teach is very different.

It’s simple, controlled breathing techniques that help your body come out of that “on edge” state and back into calm.

And breathwork is just one part of it.

It’s one of the four pillars I use to help clients regulate their nervous system - alongside stretch, self-massage and sleep strategies.

It’s World Breathing Day 🧘🏻‍♀️

Led by the International Breathwork Foundation, today is about raising awareness of something we do all day, every day, but rarely pay attention to.

Your breath.

Most people only notice it when something feels off:

Stress
Overwhelm
Poor sleep
That wired-but-tired feeling

But your breath is one of the fastest ways to influence your nervous system, helping shift you out of fight or flight and back into a calmer, more regulated state.

This year’s theme is “Pause, Breathe, Unite.”

Simple, but more powerful than you’d think.

So here’s something you can try right now:

The 10 Breath Reset

• Sit or stand still
• Inhale slowly through your nose
• Exhale slowly through your nose
• Repeat for 10 breaths

That’s it.

No apps. No overthinking. Just a pattern your body recognises as safe.

If you want to take it a step further, try it with someone else.
Eye contact + shared breathing can help co-regulate your nervous system.

This is conscious breathing.
