Here are just a few post-treatment tips to help you maximise the benefits from your chiropractic treatment with us.

Use ICE to prevent more inflammation within the area. Use an ice pack. Do this for 15-20 minutes, every hour, for 3-4 hours. Do not apply the ice pack directly to the skin. Use a tea towel or pillow case!

Allow your body to REST and AVOID doing anything strenuous in the next 24 hours. This includes housework, lifting or any sort of strenuous exercise. Do not carrying heavy bags on one shoulder or arm as this will put a strain on your neck and back.

Be aware of your POSTURE when sitting, standing, sleeping or driving. Try to be as balanced as possible.

DRINK plenty of water as this will help to flush the toxins out of your system and hydrate your body and joints.

KEEP MOVING gently to allow the treatment to have its full effect. Try to avoid prolonged sitting or staying being in the same position for too long. Going for a walk can be very beneficial.

After your treatment your chiropractor may give you further aftercare advice that is specific to you.
