Free Community Defibrillators – Applications Closing Soon
The British Heart Foundation is currently offering free, fully funded defibrillators to eligible non profit, community focused groups. This includes organisations such as faith groups, sports clubs, charities, community centres, parish councils, residents’ associations, and similar local groups.
Applications are expected to close in February 2026, but may close earlier depending on demand, so groups are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
To qualify, applicants must ensure the defibrillator will be:
· Placed 200m or more from the nearest public access defibrillator
· Housed in the non lockable cabinet provided
· Supported by a commitment to CPR training using BHF’s free RevivR tool
Who can apply:
You must be applying on behalf of a non-profit community-focused group. We can only accept one application from each local branch of a community group.
Some examples of groups we accept are:
faith organisations
sports groups
charities
social clubs
community centres
parish councils
local social enterprise organisations
community interest companies
resident’s associations and informal groups.
Successful applicants receive a defibrillator, cabinet, replacement pads and batteries, and CPR training resources.
More details and the application form are available on the BHF website.
