DISSOLVING- HA💋💉
This is a process typically done to reverse or correct the effects of lip augmentation using hyaluronic acid-based fillers. The procedure involves the injection of an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which breaks down hyaluronic acid, the main component of most lip fillers. Here’s an overview of the process:
1. Consultation:
Assessment: we will evaluate the condition of the filler and discuss your goals.
History: They’ll review your medical history to ensure you’re a good candidate for hyaluronidase, as some people may have allergies to the enzyme.
2. Procedure:
Preparation: The area is cleaned, and sometimes a numbing cream is applied to minimize discomfort.
Injection: Hyaluronidase is injected into the areas where the filler is located. The enzyme works quickly to dissolve the hyaluronic acid.
Observation: You’ll be observed for any immediate reactions, especially if it’s your first time using hyaluronidase.
3. Post-Procedure:
Immediate Effects: Results can be seen almost immediately, though it may take a few days for the final results to be fully visible.
Side Effects: Some common side effects include swelling, redness, and bruising at the injection site, which usually resolve within a few days.
Follow-Up: A follow-up appointment might be scheduled to assess the results and determine if further treatment is needed.
4. Considerations:
Partial vs. Full Dissolution: If you only want partial correction, we can tailor the amount of hyaluronidase used.
Re-filling: If you wish to have new filler applied after dissolving the old one, you will need to wait a few weeks to allow any swelling to subside completely.
