🌟 Employee of the Month – September & October 🌟

We’re delighted to celebrate two of our amazing team members for their outstanding contributions! 💐

🌼 September – Sharon
Residents and staff nominated Sharon for the fantastic support she provides to everyone around her. She’s a great mentor, ensures our residents receive the very best of care, and is always there to lend a helping hand. Sharon is also a huge support to the team, we truly appreciate all she does!

🌸 October – Ellen
Ellen was nominated by residents for the delicious meals she’s been preparing while covering in the kitchen! As Head of Shift, Ellen also makes a real difference on the floor, showing her dedication and versatility every day.

Both Sharon and Ellen received a well-deserved goodie bag and as keen gardeners, they also enjoyed a floral treat! 🌷 Ellen received a lovely Petunia and Wildflower Pollinator, while Sharon was gifted some beautiful plants. 🌿

A big thank you and congratulations to both of you, you truly make Martham Lodge a wonderful place to live and work! ❤️

Khamphan is our wonderful Housekeeper here at Martham Lodge – always keeping our home sparkling clean and tidy while brightening the days of our residents with her warm smile.

We are thrilled to share that our residents enjoyed a delightful visit from Nostalgia Films this past Thursday! 🎉

Phil brought a touch of the golden past with classic movies, heartwarming scenes, and cherished memories. Our community was immersed in the magic of old Hollywood, bringing back fond memories and sparking wonderful conversations. 🌟🎬

A huge thank you to Nostalgia Films for this beautiful experience and for bringing so much joy to our home. Our residents had a fantastic time reminiscing and enjoying the films!

Martham Lodge is currently experiencing an issue with the telephone system and we are unable to make outgoing calls, or receive incoming calls. We are working hard to resolve this issue and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Last Saturday, we had the immense joy of celebrating a truly remarkable milestone—Elizabeth's 100th birthday! Our care home was transformed into a festive haven, decorated with vibrant balloons and banners, and filled with the joyous tunes of the 1920s, taking us all on a nostalgic journey through the music of her youth.

Our residents and staff gathered to honour Elizabeth, sharing stories and laughter over a delightful buffet tea. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, love, and a deep sense of community, reflecting the extraordinary life Elizabeth has lived.

Here's to 100 years of cherished moments, and many more to come!

We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that our recent Strawberry Tea Event held on Monday was a tremendous success! 🍓🎉

With the incredible support from our wonderful community, we raised an amazing £236 for our Residents Fund. This will go a long way in enhancing the activities and services we offer to our beloved residents. 🏡❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and volunteered. Your generosity and enthusiasm made this event truly special. Here's to many more joyful gatherings and meaningful contributions in the future!

We're thrilled to announce that we received a special visit on Monday from Poppy, our new Pets as Therapy (PAT) dog, and her wonderful owner Kerri.
Poppy and Kerri will now be visiting us on a fortnightly basis to spread joy, love and comfort to our residents.
We would like to take this time to thank Les and Flo for coming to see us over the last few months and wish you both lots of luck with your new venture. Please do pop by and say hello to us all, as and when you can! You will be missed by us all at Martham Lodge.
Mark your calendars and join us in giving Poppy and Kerri a warm welcome on Monday 1st July at 11am.
