One of the things I love to do as a yoga teacher is remind children how they can create and imagine whatever they want. That they are the authority and the artist; they are free to move the way they want to move and express the way they want to express.

I simply model and suggest healthy options that don't hurt themselves or anyone/anything else ❤🙏

Somatic movement is so important for moving emotion that can cloud the mind 😊

So many issues around attention (or rather, lack of attention) stem from children's being unable to move their bodies. Children are not meant to sit for 8 hours a day. This constriction takes a toll on the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of our children. Movement not only keep our bodies healthy, but it allows the brain to focus by ensuring the parasympathetic nervous system is engaged (the breaks of the brain) which then allows the child to focus, in addition to helping regulate sleep & mood, and allowing the child to experience competence & mastery in their worlds.
