A lovely walk yesterday with lots of chat and very kind weather gods. Thank you to all of my companions. Next one on May 17th.

It promises to be dry on Sunday morning, but cooler than the last few days, for our walk. Comfortable footwear and good socks are highly recommended to avoid any nasty blisters and something waterproof in case it does rain. We set out at 10am from the Community Centre carpark and will take a 1.5 - 2hrs at a guess.

See you all then.

Here is a map of the walk I am planning next Sunday 12th April. It's 5.38 miles long and quite hilly for Norfolk with a total ascent of 123ft, not quite the Pennine Way but a enough of a challenge for any level of walker. I was asked how much these walks cost. The answer, nothing. Please let me know if you are coming by DM or text on 07379 749 399.

Walking is well known for promoting wellbeing, particularly if is with pleasant company. I'm planning our next walk for Sunday 12th April (next Sunday) up Church Hill, around Banham Moor, and Copince’s Fen. This will be around 1.5 hours I think with a few hills. Comfortable footwear is highly recommended, especially if is a bit wet underfoot. Please let me know if you will be joining us.

I originally created this page to promote my counselling practice and then more recently to promote walks along with Mental Health Mates. They were a charity who promoted support for individuals with mental health challenges through community walks. Sadly, Mental Health Mates has ceased as a charity which is why I have decided to rebrand this page once more.

I aim to share walks that are about small groups of us walking together with the aim of promoting our wellbeing and my name is Dave, so, "Wellbeing Walks with Dave" it is.

I'm aiming to do a bit more walking in the evenings now that the light evenings are here along with the regular Sundays that we do now. Please let me know if you would like to join us and your preference as to walking on Saturdays, Sundays and/or weekday evenings.

Our walks seem to be around 4 or 5 miles long (1.5 to 2hrs duration) and around Banham so we don't have to drive anywhere to participate. Let me know if you would prefer some shorter walks.

I feel lucky to live in Banham surrounded by open countryside with big skies and like sharing it with a friendly group of companions.

This coming Sunday, 22nd March. It’s promising to be fine on Sunday, so nice dry walking and and a great opportunity to get the camera out for our walk between Banham and Kenninghall and back.

Walking has long been my go-to antidote to stress and a great way to find a little wellbeing while maintaining fitness. If anyone fancies joining me on a spring walk around Banham and Kenninghall, then join me on Sunday 22nd March at 10 am. Starting from the Banham Community Centre carpark, I am planning to walk to Kenninghall and back, which will also be a great walk when we have the long evenings once again in June.

Please let me know if you are interested in walking at a modest pace and with good company and easy, agenda-free conversation. Email me on the address below or ring me on 07379 749 399.

Sunday promises to be cold and wet, and certainly will be under foot. Some of the paths can be slippery when wet so appropriate footware is a must and perhaps a stick if you have one.

Meeting at 10am at Banham Community Centre, I plan to take the less muddy paths to Kenninghall. Let me know if you are up for it.

Do you fancy joining me on our next walk around Banham on Sunday 15th February? Hopefully spring will make itself known and the sun will shine on us once again, making it perfect for shaking those winter blues while taking some gentle exercise in the company of others. Walk and talk or just walk in company.

Against all expectations, it looks as if tomorrow morning may be dry, at least from above. I have held back on this one a bit as it didn’t look to promising but if anyone fancies joining me for a walk round Banham tomorrow please meet up at the Banham Community Centre car park at 10am tomorrow, the 11th January. You will surely need extra layers against the cold and waterproof footwear on your feet as there are sure to be large puddles, but otherwise….

Here is a repost of my earlier post.

Happy new year to all! If anyone fancies walking some of the mince pies off, then how about joining me on 11th January for a walk round Banham. The weather looks like being cold but a few extra layers and thick socks should counter that. More details to follow.

I'm planning another walk on Sunday 14th December to start a new year's resolution early, to get out for a bit more exercise. Personally, I find a good walk under Norfolk's big skies the best way to de-stress and would welcome some company along the way. So far we have been lucky with the weather so fingers crossed. Let me know if you would like to join me.
