I first started The Wellness Ju**ie 12 years ago with no relevant qualifications, just a passion for health & wellness. I quickly completed my personal training and nutrition courses and my business developed into an outdoor bootcamp & successful online nutrition programme.

12 years on things look a little different, and I now run multiple businesses around my (much bigger!) family. Throughout my own mental health & physical battles I have learned so much more and have a different perspective on what health looks like and it’s a joy to be able to bring that to you in a way that feels genuine to me. I look forward to sharing more with you all ✨

Bulletproof Coffee ☕️

I drink this every morning, even when fasting - it comes out at 71kcal, and is referred to as a ‘fat bomb’ so it doesn’t spike blood sugar and helps to prolong a fasted state.

I have a shot of espresso with 1/2 tsp butter, 1/2 tsp coconut oil & 1 tsp double cream. I will either have one or two of these (if you prefer a larger coffee just double the amount to one coffee)

Benefits of bulletproof coffee may include improved mental clarity & brain function, stabilised blood sugar levels, enhanced physical performance & energy levels (I workout in a fasted state) it can support ketosis & accelerate fat loss among many other benefits.

It also tastes like a creamy latte 👌🏼

Broke my 18 hour fast with plain kefir, followed by steak cooked in butter & pink Himalayan sea salt, and a sweet potato, black bean, chickpea & feta salad bowl. I usually break my fast gradually over an hour or so, to ease my digestive system back into an eating state.

Back on my bu****it 💪🏼 those who have known me and followed me since the start will know this is my jam, and I’m using this page again to document all things health, wellness, fitness & motivation!

Since baby #4 I’ve been steadily getting back to myself and I’ve rediscovered my love for sharing my journey. At this time I’m not taking on PT clients as I have other commitments but I hope you enjoy the content for now!

Do you take glucosamine, collagen or amino acids? Instead of buying expensive supplements, if you’re a meat eater then I highly recommended making your own bone broth.

I roast a whole chicken every week and make bone broth with the leftovers, so nothing is wasted. I add herbs, stock, garlic, lemon & pink Himalayan salt - bring to the boil, then cook on medium heat for 6-8 hours. Add water as it reduces, and then drain into a bowl with a colander. You can add water and freeze it as broth or let it set as a jelly and store in the fridge (I prefer this option)

I use the jelly all week by adding it to hot water to drink. No, it doesn’t look pretty but it’s SO good for you! You can also use it as a base for homemade gravy, soups & stews!

Tasty, cost effective, so good for your skin and gut. Homemade bone broth > expensive supplements! 🍗

Some of the benefits of bone broth may include:

• Improved joint health 🏃🏼‍♀️
• Better skin, hair & nails 💅🏼
• Promotes healthy gut microbiome, helping you to absorb more nutrients from food & keeping the digestive tract healthy 🦠
• Aids weight management by keeping you fuller for longer & reducing hunger pangs

Aren’t bodies just the most amazing thing…I’ve by no means ‘snapped back’ but 14 months ago I had my 4th baby and at the end of my pregnancy I could barely walk and when I did I was in excruciating pain. I’ve had 4 full term pregnancies which really weren’t kind to me 😥 but each time with time, patience and training I’ve managed to lose the weight and get back my fitness. I’m proud of me ❤️ (and very grateful to my lovely boyfriend for giving me time to focus on myself)

Do you think of SlimFast when you hear ‘shakes’? 😬

Protein shakes & smoothies can be an incredibly nutrient dense meal and a super efficient way of getting goodness into your body when you’re busy.

Todays shake is made up of milk, Milk Chocolate Digestive protein powder (I get mine from Spartan Protein - any good quality protein will do!) peanut butter, banana, a raw egg and 1 tsp Matcha. There’s no way I would eat all of those things individually for breakfast but by adding them all to the blender I’ve got a tasty milkshake that’s high in calories, a well balanced macro source and packed with nutrients - and it will keep me going until lunchtime.

And no, you cannot taste the raw egg - think brownie batter 😋 it gives it a lovely creamy texture and adds a good protein hit! 🥚 if you’re vegan, flaxseed is a great alternative 👌🏻

There are so many combinations to try and it’s such an easy way to sneak in extra vitamins, especially when our immune systems could all use a boost 💥

Don’t be so hung up on stats that you miss all the other positives that come with getting fitter & eating healthier ❤️
