Postnatal cafe today

Today was full to the brim with lovely mummas, daddies and their babies! 👶

What a pleasure to see all those we’ve taught in antenatal classes coming back with their bundles! thank you all so much for coming 💖

Today was bitter sweet as we said goodbye to our graduate babies 👶 🎓 who have reached the ripe old age of 6 months- and amazing these mummas have now made their own little group to continue to meet with their soon to be mobile babies! ❤️

They say it takes a village, and we are privileged to be part of yours!

Lots of people plan c- section births for different reasons- all perfectly valid and unique to one’s own choices/ values/ circumstance.

Surgery can be daunting, and the recovery from a c-section is certainly different from physiological birth! There is a lot to inform oneself prior to the big day!

Our c-section course is the perfect mix of specific c section information, combined with group postnatal education so you get all the support you deserve!

As we move into supporting our winter pregnancies during our December and January classes- Jo and I are taking a couple of weeks off to recover from illness’ and regroup 🤗

We also have lots of family birthdays coming up so we need this two week break for a bit of self care before the madness of Crimbo sets in!

FYI- There is still one space left on our December course which starts on 4th December with two week break in the middle for Xmas and new years- perfect for babies due in Feb/ early March 🌼

Our January course commences on the 22nd January for four consecutive weeks- there is still space on this one but we expect it to book up quickly! if you haven’t already seen it, check out the competition running with .norfolkedit for a free spot on our January course! ❄️

The ideal time to commence antenatal education is approx 28weeks of pregnancy- so be mindful of this when picking the right course for you! 🤗

Postnatal/ baby care will be running as usual Thursday 27th 10-12 don’t forget to book your free space via links in bio 🔗

We’ve had an influx of new followers over the last week so hello and thanks for checking out what we have to offer!

Hi we are Jo and Sam, owners of Ready, Set, Baby! Antenatal and Postnatal Education.

Both from Norwich, and work locally as midwives too- we decided last Xmas that we deffo didn’t have enough on our plates already with NHS work, family, friends, life admin, pets etc etc etc so thought we’d start a little project to make life interesting! Why not YOLO!!

So in the midst of chaos; we have 6 kids, 4 dogs and 2 husbands between us 🤪 We designed our first set of classes and started these social pages. It hasn’t been straightforward, and time is our biggest enemy. But we are starting to see things develop slowly but surely- or following is gaining a bit of traction and we have successfully commenced a baby cafe in NR13 which was really important to both of us!

So if you’re newly pregnant, or know someone who is, let them know about us! We try to post interesting content on here and show snippets of our face to face courses.

Oh and we have a website too! 🔗 in bio!

We are getting ready to teach week 4 to Octobers group 👶😊 So here is a sneak peek of some of the activities we go through on week 4- all things postnatal!

Week 4 includes all maternal postnatal care and neonatal care in those early weeks! What to expect and to expect the unexpected 🤣

I’d also really like to take a moment to get you to think what makes great classes? classes where you don’t forget the content, where you feel seen and confident to ask questions? Where you’ll have fun and be invited to join in- and won’t be talked to via PowerPoint for 3 hours!

Antenatal education is so important to your journey- you need to do your market research before you invest 😀
