What a privilege it was to host a 'Community Club' workshop at the beautiful for people affected by secondary cancer.

We loved connecting with this amazing group of women as we spent time gathering summer blooms which we used to create imprints in a range of decorative clay pieces! 🌿

This day was all about creating community and enjoying play through creativity in nature and was the perfect setting ✨️. The team welcomed us into their oasis of calm with freshly picked posies from their colour filled garden which is currently in full bloom after plenty of sunshine and rain! 🌸

We loved teaming up with to offer this experience for their amazing community! If you haven't come across them before, they are an inspiring charity on a mission to provide a free Little Lifts Care Box (full of supportive, pick-me-up goodies) to every breast cancer patient in the UK, check them out for more info!

We realised we’ve been mis-selling our events by calling them ‘workshops’. There’s no work involved, only play!

The truth is we want our sessions to be the antidote to work/study/striving/results-driven productivity. Rewilding Studio is about creating a space for people to slow down and connect with their often neglected inner-child.

So we’ve rebranded them as ‘Rewilding Rituals’ which we think is a much better description. We set the environment, lead with intention, stay present and appreciate the moment. They are an opportunity to engage our curiosity, get creative and connect with nature, the seasons, each other and ourselves in a meaningful way and with gratitude 🙏

Hey! 👋 We're back! After our exciting launch, we took a little pause.... Space to reflect and gather what we learned, ready for our next chapter ✨

Now, we’re excited to share our evolving direction with you… 🌿

We’re committing to a year-long rhythm of seasonal creative workshops, aligned with the turning of the Celtic wheel. These sessions will involve creative rituals - one for each celtic festival - and be supported by shared creative prompts and journaling invitations, to keep us all rooted in our own cycles too.

This is about finding flow, not perfection. We definitely know how hard routine can be - but we also know the power in returning, again and again, to what matters ☺️ We created Rewilding Studio partly to tend our own souls - but it was amazing to have it confirmed in the spring that there are many others out there that need it to!

We’ll be based at the Orangery in Carrow House, Norwich, offering evening workshops, with plans of branching out to other soulful spaces soon. We'd love to know if there are any locations you'd like to see a Rewilding Studio Workshop.

If you’ve been craving rhythm, creativity, and/or a deeper connection with nature and yourself, we’d love to rewild with you!

Our Autumn workshop details are on the way - stay tuned! 🍂

A very fateful meeting ✨️ lead us to discover that .unity.hub had recently obtained and revitalized , the former family Colman's family home. The trustees at NUH have converted the beautiful grade II listed building (and gardens! 🌿) into a vibrant and supportive community to benefit both people and the planet.

Home to a mixture of amazing social enterprises, charities and CIC's, we're so excited to have been offered a space as part of the brand new creative studio within the building 🌿✨️

A huge thank you to .unity.hub and for the warm welcome (and for creating such a dreamy place to work from 🤩), we feel so lucky to be able to grow Rewilding Studio from our amazing new studio space! 🌿

Here are a few snaps from our first walk around the gardens, forage session 🌿 and future workshop experiments in our new studio space ✨️

We love this inspiring project that’s turned a piece of old farmland into a wildflower meadow. Stoke Holy Cross Jubilee Meadow is now a beautiful space for the local community to enjoy and a valuable ecosystem for our birds and insects 🌼🐦‍⬛🪲

Meadowwatch #6

Thank you to Sally for this lovely illustration of a Beaked Hawksbeard currently flowering on the Meadow. To find out more about Sally's new project check out Rewilding Studio . Apparently many of the wildflowers in bloom at the moment are yellow or white as these colours absorb weak sun more easily also the early polinators are often flies that cannot distinguish colours but are attracted by strong contrasts. It's also possible that the plants need to use less resources to produce these colours.

Life isn't always sunshine and flowers... unless you come to one of our workshops 😉

What a treat to have another sun-drenched morning for our 'Natural Printing Techniques' session last Thursday 😌

We began in the 'Men's Shed’, getting to know everyone in our lovely group, before heading to the beautiful walled garden to soak up some spring sunshine. Following a mindful walk, we began foraging for leaves and flowers to use with our printing techniques.

First off, we experimented with cyanotypes, a traditional camera-less photographic technique that uses UV light from the sun to capture the shapes of objects placed on treated paper 💙

After a break, we learned the techniques of botanical mono-printing and Tataki-zomé, otherwise known as "hammer-dying."

As this workshop was part of our Creative Nature Journal series, the idea of this session was to acknowledge the incredible benefits of time with nature and get a taste of interesting ways we might record our nature ‘glimmers’. We purposefully chose techniques with hard-to-predict results so that we could focus on the magic of the process rather than the outcome. Having said that, we made some beautiful prints! 🌿✨

Our final spring workshop is this Thursday, 3rd April (10 am - 1 pm), where we’ll be exploring collaging techniques.

Have you tried monoprinting with leaves or flowers? We love this spontaneous and magical process that delivers beautifully unpredictable results every time 🌿✨

You can make simple impressions, like we did here (great for recording nature or making minimal artwork) or get really experimental and layer prints on top of each other, exploring colour and the interaction of negative and positive prints.

If you’d like to try nature monoprinting, come to our workshop on the 27th of March , bookable via the link in our bio. This is part of our Creative Nature Journal spring workshop series, where you can enjoy time engaging with nature, tapping into your creativity and connecting with fellow enthusiasts.

There's something so uplifting and symbolic about the coming of spring, when the bulbs planted in autumn release their stored energy to create the first vibrant flowers of the season ✨

We've realised we planted the idea of relaunching Rewilding Studio last autumn and it's interesting that our seed of an idea has followed the changing of the seasons and is now bursting into life!

Our first set of 'nature journal' workshops have been created for, well...us! We are prone to being perfectionists and in this insta-perfect world we often find the pressure to be 'the best' at something really stops us from experimenting creatively. If you have been feeling like us then we would love for you to join us on our weekly journey to break free from our perfectionist habits.

Our four 'nature journal' workshops have been designed to compliment each other as a course but can also be attended separately if you prefer one over another. Here's a breakdown of our Spring Nature Journal workshops:

Thursday 13th March (10am-1pm) - Mark making with DIY nature brushes
Thursday 20th March (10am - 1pm) - Experimental observation drawing techniques
Thursday 27th March (10am-1pm) - Natural printing techniques
Thursday 3rd April (10am - 1pm) - Collage and mixed media

*All workshops are suitable for beginners *

Alongside our quest to 'let go' and embrace creativity through play, we are strong believers in the power of time spent in nature to boost feelings of wellbeing. With that said, we have found the most beautiful venue to hold our workshops, the walled garden is a restored Victorian garden just outside of Norwich (it's literally like entering a world of calm). We will be holding our workshops in their brand new studio space within the garden walls!

We've learned that keeping a nature journal is an amazing way to stimulate your curiosity and boost your sense of wonder. It's also a great way to practice mindfulness and access feelings of connection to nature and a sense of gratitude (all great tools when building resilience in this hectic world we live in). As part of the workshops you will be invited to explore the garden at your own pace and encouraged to touch, smell and even pick your choice of blooms as part of your creative nature journal 🌿.

The is a safe space where you can take time to connect with your inner creativity while collaborating with nature in a playful way (there is even a cosy cafe where you can refuel during your visit 🍰☕️). With space for up to 10 people per workshop, we aim to create a small and friendly weekly gathering where you can meet like-minded souls in a relaxed setting ✨️

A little bit about us….

Natalie and Sally met several years ago while sharing an art studio space in Norwich. They bonded over a love of paddle boarding, hula hooping and tarot reading (among other things)! Since then, they've had many adventures together and shared lots of creative ideas and inspiration...the relaunch of Rewilding Studio being their best and most ambitious yet! ✨

Natalie is a multi-disciplinary creative who studied theatre and costume design in London. She is the creator of the boutique brand, Curious Fair. After a period of lone working in a private studio, Natalie originally set up Rewilding Studio as a way to combat loneliness through creatively reconnecting with the natural world in a community of like-minded souls. This interest in how time spent socially connecting in nature lead her to complete a 2 year diploma in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture with in 2024. Natalie is also one half of the duo behind , a secluded off-grid retreat spot in the Norfolk countryside designed as a place to truly switch off and escape from the busyness of the modern world.🌿

Sally is a designer-illustrator who originally studied Visual Culture at the University of Brighton. She also has a foundation degree in Art and Wellbeing and a certificate in Practical Horticulture. She was a graphic designer for many years before her studies led her to work as a teacher, art facilitator and, more recently, a mental health Recovery Worker. Sally is the mum of a pre-teen, a toddler and a bouncy cockapoo called Neo. When she's not working on Rewilding Studio she might have a little time for her personal project or digging her allotment. 🌿
