Ever reacted in a way that you are not overly proud of?
I have!! Many, many times…
Sometimes our protective parts come to the fore when we have been triggered and that in itself can be overwhelming, let alone the reactions that can then follow - leaving a trail of destruction for all parties - not overly lovely and just adds to the internal chaos and feelings of shame, blame and guilt - and so the cycle continues!!

Overreacting on repeat, often means there’s a build up of unprocessed emotions and trying to control those emotions is often more intense than the actual situation.

Of course healing the root of where these feelings began and unburdening and releasing what we’ve been unconsciously holding onto is key to transformation, but in the meantime when you feel the feels arise…

Do nothing. Wait. Take some really really deep breaths and do your best to stay as calm and present as you can. Place a hand on your belly if you can (this helps to settle the nervous system and stay present). Take yourself away from the situation if easier.

When you feel more centred and relaxed, remind yourself that it’s okay. You are doing the best you can and be really kind. Reassure those parts within you that need to feel safe.

When ready you can ask for ‘self’ energy to be present (this is your true self, not the triggered version) and command that any detrimental energies and fear to dissipate.

From this space ask your heart to give you the clarity that you need, to know, be, do or say that would be helpful, honouring and empowering for you in this situation and just see what you get.

When you don't feel like yourself. Stop. Take some really deep breaths and keep going until you are really breathing deeply into your belly - out of your mind and back into self ❤️

Carrying forward things from yesterday only dulls the senses and stops us from being able to receive things differently. Including what we expect from those closest to us.
Ever noticed that when we say something is going to be a certain way or someone is going to behave in a certain way, it usually turns out that way.
Sometimes having expectations is a great way to keep ourselves feeling safe.
When we stop projecting and wipe the slate clean, it's amazing what else has the opportunity to shine through and show up instead - including more of ourselves ❤️

Setting boundaries and honouring what matters to you doesn't come easy to some, especially when you felt like you didn't matter when you were younger ❤️

As with everything the more we practice the easier it gets and any guilt that you may have in putting yourself first, soon starts to dissipate, as you feel a sense of calm and safety within!

What can I do differently today?

Sometimes we just need to change things up!
It’s so easy to live life on autopilot, rather than taking a different approach to things.

As they say
“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you always got:
It’s so true…. Regardless of whether the result is good or bad.

When we change things up something within our chemistry starts to change.
We start to rewire our brains differently.
We start to see different results. We try new things.
We start becoming more spontaneous.
We begin to forget what didn’t work for us anymore.
We begin to forget what made us anxious.
We become more curious.
We start to think differently.
We start to feel more confident.
We start trusting ourselves more.
We open ourselves to new opportunities.
We start to receive more opportunities.
We start to receive more of ourselves.

Whether it’s how you approach something, speak to somebody, speak to yourself, clothes you wear, the time you get up, your daily routine, react to something, the thoughts you believe, making decisions - whatever it is…

When we start to take a different approach to things, including the things that work for us, we make ourselves available for different and new possibilities to start showing up as if by magic… How lush is that? 🌟

You can’t get where you’d love to be, without showing up and doing all of the things - whether on repeat - or changing it up as and when you need to 🥰
It doesn’t really matter how you do, just that you do ♡

When you commit to yourself with love - not only do you align with your future - you send love and support to all of the parts within you, that perhaps never received it, making it much easier to hear the how’s and why’s of what and not to do that will lead you to more of you ❤️

Are you keeping the promises that you have been making to yourself?

If not. Be kind. With some inner enquiry you could ask yourself.
‘What part of me requires some love and reassurance that she is so very worthy of committing to?’

Hello my name is Anna. I have been an energy healing practitioner for nearly 25 years and have seen some wonderful healing and transformation take place with physical and emotional symptoms over that time.

Something Kind And Wonderful is a healing space to rediscover and express the magic of who you truly are and has been born from my own personal experiences and journey of rediscovering my true self, within my heart and where I belong.
