Day 14/30.
🧠📈 A record 487,432 people in England have now received a dementia diagnosis (as of mid-2024).

That’s nearly half a million individuals—and countless families—facing the challenges of memory loss, confusion, and daily care.

While this rise reflects better awareness and earlier diagnosis, it also highlights the urgent need for:

✅ More support services
✅ More trained carers and specialists
✅ Increased funding for dementia research
✅ Greater public understanding

Dementia isn’t just a part of ageing—it’s a serious condition that needs action, compassion, and community.

Let’s keep talking. Keep learning. Keep supporting. 💜

Day 13/30.
🧠💡 Did you know there are over 200 types of dementia?

Most people have heard of Alzheimer’s disease, but it’s just one form of dementia. Others include:

🔹 Vascular dementia
🔹 Lewy body dementia
🔹 Frontotemporal dementia
🔹 Mixed dementia
🔹 And many more…

Each type affects the brain differently—and symptoms, progression, and treatments can vary widely.

That’s why an accurate diagnosis is so important.
It leads to better care, better planning, and better support.

Let’s move beyond the myths and raise real awareness.
💬 Dementia is not one-size-fits-all.

Day 12/30.
🚨🧠 People with undiagnosed dementia are 3 times more likely to end up in A&E.

Why? Because without a diagnosis, symptoms go unmanaged.
Confusion, falls, infections, and other health problems can escalate—leading to emergency visits that might have been preventable with earlier support.

🔍 Early diagnosis matters.
It’s not just about knowing—it’s about planning, getting the right care, and improving quality of life.

If you’ve noticed memory issues, confusion, or changes in thinking in someone you care about, don’t ignore it. Talk to a GP or health professional.

💬 Let’s break the stigma, raise awareness, and encourage early conversations.

🕊️ Remembering 9/11.

Today, we pause with heavy hearts and open arms to honour the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We remember the innocent souls who never came home, the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the families who live with that loss every day.

Day 11/30.
Over 700,000 informal carers—often family and friends—are caring for someone with dementia in the UK.

They provide emotional support, daily care, and often put their own lives on hold to help someone they love.

But here's the truth:
Caring for someone with dementia is not easy—and carers need support too.

💬 If you're one of these incredible carers, you're not alone. Support is out there:

>Respite care to give you a break
>Carer support groups - Caring together charity provide free support on 0345 241 0954 or email hello@caringtogether.org
>Financial guidance and legal support

Let’s recognise, support, and uplift the unpaid heroes behind dementia care. 💪💜

Day 10/30.
Did you know?
Women are more likely to develop dementia than men.

In fact, nearly two-thirds of all people living with Alzheimer’s disease are women. And it's not just because women live longer — research suggests that biological, hormonal, and social factors may also play a role.

This makes dementia a critical health issue, yet it’s often overlooked.💜

✨ Motivational Team Building Workshop ✨

Yesterday, we had an inspiring session with Roxy from , focused on motivation in the workplace. We explored:

• What motivates us vs. what de-motivates us
• How to increase the positives and reduce the negatives
• The fact that what drives one person may not motivate another—and vice versa

Through group discussions, we debated questions such as:

➡️ Recognition vs. Making a difference – which is more important?
➡️ Is there even a “right” answer, or does it depend on the individual?

We also completed a self-assessment tool, rating different statements to reflect on our own sources of motivation.

💬 Everyone actively engaged in the conversations and debates, making it a very informative, reflective, and eye-opening workshop.

Day 9/30.
🧠💔 There is currently no cure for dementia...
But that doesn't mean there's no help, no hope, or no way forward.

Dementia slowly takes away memories, independence, and connection—but with the right support, people living with dementia can still live with dignity, purpose, and love.

We can’t cure it yet, but we can:
✅ Catch it early
✅ Manage symptoms
✅ Support families
✅ Fund research
✅ Show compassion

Let’s raise awareness, fight stigma, and stand by those affected—until a cure is found.
If you or someone you love is facing dementia, you are not alone.💜
