As a pelvic health physiotherapist, I fully understand how the physical challenges in a woman’s life can become an emotional burden. Often baffled, in pain, embarrassed, overwhelmed and always inconvenienced, women come to me for answers to their questions:
Is this normal? No matter what age you are, whether it’s urinary incontinence, a sensation of prolapse, back pain or a tummy gap, amongst man
y other conditions, I am here to listen and above all help you, by providing a calm, professional service in your home. I worked as a professional dancer for over 10 years, performing with Matthew Bourne’s 'New Adventures’ and in Musical Theatre, both internationally and in the West End. Once I retired as a dancer, having experienced some very effective treatment over the years, I decided to retrain as a physiotherapist. George’s Medical School with a Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) degree in 2009, I have since worked as a senior physiotherapist in Pelvic Health and Musculoskeletal services at St Georges Healthcare NHS Trust, and at Vita Health private physiotherapy clinic in London. What to expect
An initial assessment may last up to 75 minutes and involve me firstly listening to your experience and concerns in detail, taking down all relevant medical history and any current prescribed medication, followed by a physical examination. An explanation of my findings and a treatment plan will be provided with exercises or activities to do alongside my treatment to promote optimal recovery. Follow up sessions are 45 minutes and the frequency and number of these appointments will always be discussed at the initial assessment. By visiting you at your home, I will set up a practitioner’s environment where you will feel none of the pressures of the clinical setting but all the benefits of having a professional assessment and treatment. I am recognized by large insurance companies, please contact me if you would like to check.
