Hair loss can be very difficult. There are many reasons for hair loss but we will go through 2 today.
Ultimately the first thing is to try and find out what the cause of it is, otherwise you may use the wrong products and treatments, wasting money.
So get some blood tests from your GP to ensure that you don’t have any sort of deficiency or hormone related problem such as vitamin B12, vitamin D deficiencies, iron or ferritin deficiencies, or thyroid hormone issues. Once you’ve established whether you have any deficiencies, you can then start on some medicines or supplements to rectify this.
For some people, androgenic alopecia is the issue, rather than any deficiencies. This is hereditary hair loss or male and female pattern hair loss. This is related to dehydrotestosterone blocking the hair follicle, miniaturising the hair. Therefore, this requires different treatment with things like minoxidil and DHT blockers. Some people have both issues.
Ultimately, micro needling can help both types of hair loss and speed up the process. It helps to increase blood flow to the scalp which is always very helpful and there are various serums that can be applied which provide growth factors for even better results.
There are also different shampoos and other products that might be helpful as well.
