😎 It starts with 1 and you get a fresh start each day

🎯 When you are just beginning 100 workouts seems like a really long way off.

⏳ When you get there you can't imagine how long it will take to get to 1,000!

1️⃣ The answer to all the different questions is "just do 1"!

πŸ₯΄ Why do things always seem to get in the way?

πŸŽ‰ 4 years of Coach Patience, who came for her work experience, then went on to support the Coaches doing a million tasks that keep the wheels of this place moving and very quickly becoming a Curves Coach until heading off to study sociology.

πŸ’₯ She keeps the energy high and always brings the laughs!

πŸ’ͺ This is an important one for women to take on-board and it's at the heart of why Curves is here. Our message has always been about the importance of Strength Training for women's health. The world is waking up but we've been banging on about this for 30 years and STILL everyone is obsessed with how much we weigh and our BMI.

πŸ’œ We've worked to reduce the friction between women and Strength Training. We're here to help women overcome the barriers. What we do IS special, but our message is the same whether you come to Curves or not! Strength Training is THE best thing you can do for your health, and if you think you are too old, then that means you are too old NOT to do it... The final component of our complete workout - 5 minutes of focused Stretching... we πŸ’œ it and we can adapt them as you need whether you use our incredible stretch circuit which helps to keep everything in alignment, or do them free standing it's up to you and there's no need to get on the floor ✨

The (often overlooked) benefits of stretching after every workout;

πŸ’œ Increases your range of motion (how far your joints extend)
πŸ’œ Increases your circulation (the transportation system of the body)
πŸ’œ Increases your flexibility (the "give" in your muscles, which aids mobility and means you scratch your own back or put your shoes on easily!)
πŸ’œ Maintain the integrity of your joints (keeps them stable and working as they should so they are useful to you, keeping you mobile and agile, and reducing falls)

If you are Strength Training as you lose weight, your body will prioritise and protect muscle tissue and tend to burn more body fat for energy. Muscle tissue burns a lot of energy. When you are trying to lose weight and keep it off, it is critical that you do all that you can to burn primarily body fat and preserve muscle mass.
