There's still time to register for the first in our series of online events explaining the band 5 role review in the NHS in England. It's this Thursday at 5pm.

If you're a band 5 nurse, it will help you understand what the NHS has committed to do and how you can get involved.

The series throughout April will also cover how those in other bands can seek a review of their job description if it no longer matches their responsibilities.

Join this session to understand in detail what commitments have been made to review band 5 roles in the NHS in England.

Work-related contact dermatitis affects many nursing and health care staff, causing pain, discomfort and difficulties performing everyday clinical tasks.

If you've had work-related contact dermatitis on your hands and wrists in recent years, please share your experiences in our short survey. ➡️ https://bit.ly/4rYwoD5

We’ll use your insights to work with employers and national bodies to improve staff wellbeing, patient safety and workplace culture. ✅

This survey is being delivered in collaboration with SC Johnson Professional UK

Director of the RCN Institute of Nursing Excellence, Professor Jane Ball encourages students, nurses and health care support workers to tell us what their last shift was like to help us grow the evidence bank needed for change.

🚨 | Add your name to our open letter to Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Wes Streeting MP and Minister for Health Karin Smyth. Make sure they know – we demand negotiations start quickly to reform NHS pay.

Members working for the NHS in England and Wales will have a 3.3% pay award imposed on them from next month.

Unions and workers were not involved this decision, and the Westminster government are yet to deliver on their promise for negotiations to improve the Agenda for Change pay structure. It has been 18 months.

Today, with other NHS Unions, we are saying loud and clear: 3.3% is not enough. You are worth more. Annual adjustments like this will not make sure nursing staff are paid what they deserve.
