We would like to thank Nottingham City Transport for their hospitality today for our service user Rob!
It has been Rob's dream to become a bus driver. Once he seen that Nottingham City Transport had job openings for a trainee bus driver, he sent in his CV for the job!

Nottingham City Transport, after reviewing his CV, invited him in for a tour of the depot. Rob loved sitting in the drivers cabin and looking around the all the buses!

A huge thank you from the staff team, Rob and his family to everyone at NCT for making today so special for him. He is already asking when he can come back!

Courtney found him early this morning and moved him to monitor our call bells. When I walked in, I trusted he would ensure service users were seen promptly.

Support workers Jodie and Angela have hidden him for tonight. He may just be wishing to go to the North Pole!

The day staff along with a couple of residents have put him in a new hiding spot for today's night shift. Who will find him tonight?

Being that Goose Fair has been cancelled this year... we brought the fair to Holme Lodge! We had games such as penalty shoot out, a coconut shy with nerf guns, hook a duck, ring toss, tin can alley and pin the beak on the goose.
We also had an array of fair food! Hotdogs, burgers, coconut ice, doughnuts and candy floss!
Both the games and the food went down like a storm! We even had our very own 'Goosey' made by a member of staff!

With thanks to National Lottery Heritage Fund for their funding and Southwell Minster and Nicky Rafferty Storytelling we had a great time last Tuesday.

Storyteller, Nicky Rafferty, came to visit us and told stories that were inspired by the carvings in the Leaves of Southwell at Southwell Minster. The residents participated in the telling with actions and sound effects and at the end of the session some of them suggested to Nicky other stories that would fit the theme that they’d love to hear when she visits again on the 2nd.
