Each August we say goodbye to our Doctors in training and welcome our new cohort.

We are lucky to have 2 new Resident Doctors this autumn – Dr Andrew Greenhalgh who is a Sports and Exercise Medicine Specialist on placement with us from the hospital, and Dr Samah Alamien who is a Resident Doctor starting her GP Training under the supervision of Dr Clements and Dr Nelson.

We also see a slight change in job titles for our two HCAs as they progress in their careers. Sammy has been promoted to GP Assistant and Emily starts her Apprenticeship as a Nursing Associate. You will be relieved to hear they will both have plenty of appointments to continue to support our patients

When you find out you are pregnant, you can refer yourself for NHS pregnancy care so you start care with a midwife right away.

Once you sign up online, the maternity team will contact you to book your first appointment with a midwife.

You should do this by the 10th week of pregnancy, if possible, but it’s never too late to start. If you're over 10 weeks, refer yourself as soon as you can.
