Westdale Care Home recently celebrated an incredible milestone our 60th anniversary! 🎉

We were delighted to welcome local guests including our MP James Naish, Deputy Mayor Richard Butler and Councillor Jonathan Wheeler , along with residents, families and friends to mark the occasion.✨

The day was filled with live music, laughter and a magnificent buffet prepared by our fantastic Head Cook Becky and Cook Richard 👏

A special highlight was celebrating Jenny’s 10 wonderful years with us, as well as recognising our amazing staff some of whom have dedicated nearly 25 years to Westdale ❤️

A huge thank you to our manager Dee Straun for organising such a memorable event and to everyone who has been part of our journey over the past 60 years. ✨

Here’s to many more years of care, community and compassion 🏡

We’re looking for a local student with an interest in journalism, media, or film to help us mark a very special milestone 🎥
Westdale Care Home in West Bridgford is celebrating its 60th anniversary and we’d love to create a short video or journalistic piece capturing its story and community.

Founded by a small group of Quakers in 1966 Westdale has been run as a not-for-profit care home for 60 years! Westdale is quite different from many care homes today and we want to share what makes it unique and our story.
