We would like to develop, with the Deaf community, a questionnaire about patient experience in healthcare called the Patient-Reported Experience Measure (PREM) in BSL.
We know that Deaf people’s experience in healthcare is poor. At the moment, there is no BSL version of the questionnaire that asks Deaf people about their experience in healthcare. We need a BSL PREM to better understand Deaf patients’ experience in healthcare so that healthcare providers can understand and improve healthcare for Deaf people.

If you would like to take part, please read, and sign the consent form and the survey at this link: https://www.qualtrics.manchester.ac.uk/jfe/form/SV_2454y9uSmptiMNU

Last week, the Deaf Cancer Support Project team had the wonderful opportunity to visit Cancer Research UK in Cambridge. 🧬✨

It was a truly fascinating experience! On the tour we learnt about the incredible work being done and how AI is playing a growing role in cancer research, from improving early detection to supporting scientists in analysing complex data.

A huge thank you to the Cancer Research UK team for welcoming us and sharing such valuable insights!
