Important update about vaccine consent ๐Ÿ’‰

The way you give consent for vaccinations has changed nationally.
Going forwards, when you are invited for a vaccination appointment, you will get a message with a link to information about your vaccine.
โ—๏ธPlease read this before your appointmentโ—๏ธ
You will need to reply to that message to confirm you are happy to go ahead with the vaccine or to ask any questions.

If we don't get your reply, we may not be able to give your vaccine and you may need to rebook.

For people without a mobile phone, email address, or who do not use the internet, there is a different process in place and instructions will be provided to them directly.

Thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly and complying with new regulations โ˜บ๏ธ

You can get oral contraception and emergency contraception directly from participating pharmacies, without needing a prescription or GP appointment. This makes accessing contraception quicker and more convenient, helping you stay in control of your s*xual health. Trained pharmacy teams can offer confidential advice and support to help you choose the right option for you. ๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿฉบ

Emergency contraception can stop you getting pregnant after unprotected s*x (s*x without contraception or when contraception might have failed). If you need emergency contraception after having unprotected s*x, speak to your local pharmacist as soon as you can. You need to use emergency contraception within 3 to 5 days of having unprotected s*x. โœจ

The Practice is aware of the recent sanction imposed by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service involving Dr Helen Eisenhauer and subsequent media coverage.

When concerns were first raised in July 2024, the Practice undertook a comprehensive internal investigation following which appropriate action was taken including a self-referral to the GMC by Dr Eisenhauer.

In the intervening period, the Partners have provided ongoing support to Dr Eisenhauer and have maintained full confidence in her clinical capabilities.

Out of respect for those involved, we will not be providing further comment. Our focus continues to be supporting the wellbeing of Dr Eisenhauer, our staff and patients whilst delivering compassionate, safe and reliable care.
