🌸☀️ Hall Park Care Home Opening Day & Summer Fayre ☀️🌸

What an absolutely fantastic day we had! Our Opening Day and Summer Fayre was filled with laughter, joy, and plenty of special moments that we’ll cherish for a long time. 💛

It was wonderful to see our residents engaging with families, friends, and members of the community – the garden was alive with conversations, smiles, and the sound of children playing. Events like these remind us of the importance of togetherness and the strong bonds we share with the community around us.

One of the highlights of the day was our special four-legged visitor 🐴. The chance to pet a pony brought so much happiness to residents and guests alike – the looks of pure delight were unforgettable! 🥰

We are so grateful to everyone who came along, supported us, and made the day possible. Whether you helped out, joined in the activities, or simply came to share in the fun, you played a part in making this day such a success. 💐

At Hall Park Care Home, it’s days like these that truly capture what we’re all about – bringing people together, creating memories, and celebrating life with warmth and joy.

Here’s to many more community events in the future – and lots more laughter along the way! 🎉✨

🍕🍕 1, 23, 70 🌟What a day we had at Hall Park Care Home 🌟

We got stuck in early and made our own cheese and tomatoes pizzas ( celebrating national cheese and tomato pizza day one day ahead of schedule - because we can't wait for pizzas 😋😋 ). The dining area on memory lane was full of laughter and that amazing smell of pizzas cooking. 🍕🍕

In the afternoon we carried on the fun with a lively game of traditional game of bingo 🎉🎉 - complete with prizes that had every eager to shout "BINGO".

A fantastic day of food, laughter, and friendly competition.

🌟 Cherished family time at Hall Park Care Home 🌟

At Hall Park, we understand the importance of maintaining special family traditions. Our residents Alwyn's family usually enjoys family visits out for meals and Alwyn used to attend with all of his loved ones throughout the year. But as he has been unable to join them recently, his family brought the celebration to him.

They gathered together in our beautiful lounge sharing food, drinks and plenty of conversations ensuring he could still enjoy those precious moments surrounded by those who mean the most.

Support residents and their families to create meaningful memories is at the heart of everything we do at Hall Park 🏫🌟 .

HE DID IT!!! 🎉

After 4 gruelling, agonising, eternally long hours of silence… GARETH has finally spoken again! 🙊➡️🗣️

This morning, all eyes (and ears) were on Gareth as he tackled the ultimate challenge: keeping quiet. For four whole hours. That’s 240 minutes. 14,400 seconds. Not that anyone was counting… 👀

If you know Gareth, you’ll know this was like asking a fish not to swim, or a dog not to bark. But he did it! And yes, we checked—he didn’t even whisper. 🫢

A huge round of applause (and a few words, finally) for Gareth! 🥳👏

Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored Gareth during his epic 4-hour silence challenge (we’re still in shock that he managed it). 🙃

Thanks to your generosity — and Gareth temporary vow of silence — So far we have nearly raised an amazing £300🙌

Every penny will go toward throwing a BIG Christmas party for our lovely residents — because they deserve nothing less than sparkle, joy, and maybe even a little dancing! 💃🕺🎅

Garth can now talk again… and he hasn’t stopped since. 😅

Zoolab and her creepy crawlers!! 🐌

Yesterday we welcomed Zoolab, who brought in a fascinating array of exotic animals for our residents to learn about. Some of them surprised themselves by handing some of the creepy crawlers

The show was very funny, energetic, very knowledgeable when it came to her animals.

A huge thank you Zoolab for bringing such joy and excitement to our home. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Hall Park Carnival Fun! 🎭🎶

In honour of Notting Hill Carnival, our residents and staff caught the carnival fever and had an unforgettable time! We got creative making vibrant carnival masks while enjoying the festive beats of Samba (from Brazil), Soca, Calypso (from the Caribbean), and Reggae.

The music filled the air, and soon we were all singing, dancing, and celebrating together. What a joyful and colorful day it was — full of laughter, rhythm, and community spirit! 🌞💃🎉

🎾 Let’s Get Physical!!! 🏃‍♀️💃

Today we had an absolute ball (literally!) keeping our residents active and smiling! 😄
From singing, balloon tennis to hilarious ball games, the laughter was contagious. One of the biggest hits? Our Velcro bat and ball — the surprise when it sticks gets them every time! 😜👏

This afternoon, we welcomed back our favourite lady Ann from Motivation & Co. for her monthly visit! 💛
Her sessions are always packed with singing, games, and quizzes — our residents (and staff!) can’t get enough. 🎤🎲🧠

What a fun and fabulous way to keep both minds and bodies active! 💪✨

🍎📚 The Kirkburn Classroom 🍏🎨

The team at Kirkburn Court Care Home in , Scotland, recently launched a new initiative called ‘The Kirkburn Classroom’.

The first session was led by Ina, a resident at the home, who took on the task of teaching everyone how to crochet.

Ina admitted she hadn’t done any crocheting for quite a while and warned she might be a bit rusty – but as soon as she picked up the hook and wool, she was off to a flying start!

She showed great patience helping everyone get started and all involved commented on how much they enjoyed the experience.

The team was pleased to report that almost everyone behaved well in class – with just a little bit of mischief.

What a fantastic afternoon. 👏

Stay tuned to find out who’ll be hosting the next class.

🎉 Bruce Turns 100 in True Highland Style at Seaview House 🎉

There was no quiet tea party for Bruce’s 100th birthday – the much-loved Navy veteran had other plans. From kilts and Highland dancers to fish and chips, live music and a showstopping cake, Bruce celebrated his milestone in style, surrounded by fellow residents, friends and family.

Bruce proudly wore full Highland attire, complete with the striking Highland Pride tartan, custom-made by Chisholms Highland Dress.

The day featured a piper parade, traditional dancing, a heartfelt ballad performed by a fellow resident and even some brilliant spoon playing.

The celebration ended on a royal note – with a birthday card from King Charles himself and a surprise invitation to the royal tent at the Mey Games.

Bruce’s verdict on the day?

“Yes…now I’ve started making a list for next year.”

Here’s to Bruce – Happy 100th Birthday! 👏

A big thank you to all involved in making this day such a success.
