Despite the soggy weather we’ve all been braving lately, there are welcome signs that spring is on its way at Hayward House Nottingham City Hospital 🌿

The garden is now a beautiful carpet of snowdrops, and for patients and their loved ones, this special outdoor space offers a chance to pause and share a quiet moment together away from clinical environments.

In 2024, thanks to your incredible generosity, the Hayward House garden was transformed into a fully accessible space. Pathways were widened so that those in beds and wheelchairs can move through the garden comfortably, making it somewhere everyone can experience and enjoy.

If you’ve visited recently, you may have noticed further building work taking place. Once again, that’s thanks to YOU. Your donations are helping to create a warmer, more homely setting, with a new entranceway and improved facilities for patients and their loved ones. The work is due to be completed this spring, and we’re so looking forward to sharing the finished space with you.

We’ve had a ‘flipping’ yummy week this week 🥞

The majority of our Day Therapy patients voted traditional lemon and sugar or orange and sugar as their highest rated topping for pancakes.

Artist Paul Lillie was in today with our Day Therapy patients and they have created some wonderful Van Gogh inspired art work. Especially nice to see the bright flowers on a cold gloomy day 💐 a reminder that warmer days are coming! ☀️
