📢 Electives Spotlight: Medic-to-Medic 📢

Are you interested in an Elective in Malawi?

Medic-to-Medic is an incredible organisation that provides funding and support to trainee health professionals in Malawi, helping them to succeed in their studies and, in turn create a positive impact on the Malawian healthcare system. They offer a life-changing opportunity for students to engage in meaningful global health experiences, while also contributing to a great cause.

Updates for 2024! 📅✨
Medic-to-Medic has some exciting plans for students next year, so if you’re considering an elective in Malawi, now’s the time to reach out! Here’s what you need to know:

🌍👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️Malawi Electives 2024: Medic-to-Medic is open for students planning their electives in Malawi! They are more than happy to chat and help you with your plans—no strings attached. Plus, you could have the chance to participate in some fantastic local events, like the marathon at the stunning Satemwa tea estate! 🏞️ It’s a perfect way to get involved with the local community.

💻 Save the Date: Electives Webinar – Saturday 30th November 2024: Don’t miss their upcoming online electives webinar, where past students will share their experiences and elective projects in Malawi. This is a brilliant opportunity to gain insight, hear real-life stories, and get advice on planning your elective. 24th of July is international self care day - something that medical students can often forget to prioritise.
But in order to do your best work, you need to feel your best, so below are a couple of tips on how to do this:
1 - It’s easy to feel overwhelmed with the amount of content in medicine so space out your revision so you’re doing a little bit everyday.
2 - Have a checklist or timetable to help organise your day!! Schedule in some fun and have things to look forward to each week.
3 - Try something new and find an interest outside of medicine.
4 - Make an effort to meet people and maintain friendships. Schedule in meet-ups and social events. They’re just as important as revising.
