Hi everybody, we do not know when the clinics will resume service, we should know more this evening when Boris lets us know more. In the meantime, I have been purchasing the necessary equipment we will require to work as safely as possible and devising a Covid 19 policy and protocol for everybody’s safety.

The new clinic guidelines will have to be adhered to in all locations and they are as follows:-

1. Prior to your appointment, I will email you a Covid questionnaire that must be completed and returned to me at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
2. If you have had any symptoms of Covid 19 in the past 14 days prior to your appointment, or been in contact with anybody who also has symptoms, please let me know as i will rebook your appointment for when you are safe to visit us.
3. You will be required to come to your appointment on your own as i have to limit the risk of exposure from anybody other than our own patients who will have had a risk assessment completed.
4. Please do not arrive to your appointment earlier than the appointed time as i will only be allowing the patient in at the correct time to avoid any issues with social distancing. You will be required to wait in your vehicle prior to your appointment.
5. Your temperature will be taken upon arrival via an infra red thermometer and your results will be recorded on your electronic record. If you have a temperature, I will not be able to proceed with the appointment.
6. You will be asked to remove your shoes and leave personal items outside of the clinic room and asked to wash and sanitise your hands.
7. You will have access to gloves and a mask should you wish to wear these during your time with me.
8. A deep cleaning clinic time has been set after and before each patient, therefore, less slots will be available per day as the safety of my patients is my main concern. I therefore, politely ask that you all attend your appointments as promptly as possible to ensure I can spend the allocated time thoroughly cleaning all clinical areas to ensure we can limit the spread of this awful virus.
9. We will be wearing scrubs and the PPE that the HSE advise for the work I carry out and as always adhering to infection control procedures with particular attention to detail.

Thank you all for your co-operation with this new protocol. It is a difficult time for us all and until a vaccine is found, we all have to adapt to a new way of life to keep us all as safe as possible.
