Recruitment system update - Trac unavailable
12 January 2026 – 10.55am

We’re currently experiencing technical issues with the Trac recruitment system, which is affecting NHS organisations nationally. Trac is our vacancy platform and this issue is preventing people from viewing or applying for roles at present.

During this time, please do not click on any Trac links.

Our suppliers are working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. As this is a national outage, our Recruitment team is also limited in what they are able to access or action during this time.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience. Please check back for further updates.

If you have any queries, please contact recruitmentandresourcing@nottshc.nhs.uk

Could you be our next Chief Executive?

We are proud to be Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - a major provider of integrated healthcare services, delivering mental health, intellectual disability, community, forensic and offender health services across the Midlands and South Yorkshire.

With a team of more than 11,300 colleagues, our Trust exists to help people live healthier, more fulfilling lives. Our care is person-centred and delivered where it is needed most - from secure hospitals and community hubs to GP surgeries and people's homes.

Following the planned retirement of Ifti Majid, we are seeking an exceptional leader to become our next Chief Executive. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape the Trust's future direction, accelerate improvement and provide visible, values-led leadership at a critical time for the NHS.

We are looking for a high-calibre leader with a strong track record of partnership working across complex systems, delivering financial efficiency while maintaining high-quality care, and leading organisations through regulatory scrutiny or major improvement activity. Previous Chief Executive experience in healthcare, and Board-level experience within mental health or community services, would be advantageous.

At Nottinghamshire Healthcare, we are committed to being a pro-equity organisation. We want our leadership to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve, and we particularly welcome applications from racially minoritised people, disabled people, LGBTQ+ people and those with lived experience of using our services.

If you are a compassionate, strategic and system-focused leader, motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference at scale, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Congratulations to our latest Positive Stars winner Seanade, Peer Support Worker, Perinatal Community Mental Health Team. Seanade supported a patient who is in an incredibly difficult situation, she is very vulnerable and has fallen between the gaps of different services at a time she needed them the most. She has a history of significant trauma, as such, this lady lacks confidence in herself and trust in others. As soon as she was assessed, it was felt Seanade's gentle compassion and caring personality would be absolutely what this patient needed.

Her nominator said: “Whenever I see them together, I can see the trust this lady has in Seanade and how she knows she is there to support her, which shows the professionalism Seanade brings to her role. I am also pleased to say that after a difficult pregnancy, this lady gave birth via c-section and Seanade happened to be at the hospital at this particular time and was able to help support this patient welcoming her daughter into the world. As can probably be imagined, childbirth was a frightening thing for this patient and I know that Seanade's presence made all the difference to this vulnerable woman."

This week we are shining a light on Nikki Looms, Community Staff Nurse, Mansfield East Community Nursing Team. Nikki is always such a kind and caring nurse to all patients she visits and staff alike. When visiting a young palliative patient in her final days of life, for replenishment of her syringe driver, Nikki went above and beyond for her and her family.

Nikki revisited with the team's doppler machine so the family could record sounds of her heartbeat to put into a bear for the patient’s young grandchildren. Nikki was willing to finish late that day to ensure she could achieve something small and unique, but that meant so much to the patient and her family. This is just one example of Nikki's compassion in her role.
