🌟 A huge shout out to the unsung heroes of the school holidays… the incredible children of childminders! 🌟

While everyone celebrates the amazing work childminders do (and rightly so!) — there’s a group of quiet heroes who don’t always get the credit they deserve.

These amazing kids share their mums and dads every single day — with babies, toddlers, big kids, and everyone in between 👶🧒👧
They open their homes, their toys, their space… and most importantly, their hearts ❤️

🌟 They become bonus siblings, best friends, peacekeepers, entertainers, snack buddies, and cuddle givers 🧸🍪🎨

They show patience when things are noisy 🔊
Kindness when others need a friend 🤝
And flexibility when their routines get shuffled ⏰

They’re the glue that helps hold it all together —
the smiling faces, the helping hands, the big-hearted legends ✨

They often wait quietly while someone else’s needs are met first — coming second more than they should sometimes 🫣 — and still show up with love ❤️

🥰 So here’s to you, my own beautiful children, and all the childminder children out there — the true heroes of the school holidays 💪
We see you, we appreciate you, and we think you’re absolutely amazing!

Our lovely hens are still laying for us! Despite their bodies supposed to be resting through winter, these ladies are determined to keep us full of eggy protein! We are so thankful!

Our snacks on Fridays are always scrambled or dippy eggs, we have plenty ready for tomorrow 😊

This week is all about ‘wintering down’.

We have made some lovely apple bird feeders for our wildlife.

We moved the leaves to a space where they can compost naturally.

We independently got our snacks ready and practiced chopping fruit.

We made some lovely nature crowns to finish the day!

We have finished off bread week the best way, by making pizza!! We only needed 2 ingredients for this super easy dough recipe. Together we mixed the dough, flattened it out and the chopped up red peppers for our topping 🍕 they were delicious! We spent the rest of the day socialising with our hen friends and playing in the fresh air 🥰

If you enjoy working with children aged 2 - 5 years; are happy to work outdoors in all weathers; and are willing to gain further knowledge and skills - please contact us for further information.

☆You will be supported by a well established Ofsted registered agency

☆Full training can be provided (if not already trained)
☆Government grants available to help with DBS costs etc.

It’s bread week! 🍞 we started off the week mixing, kneading and baking our very own mini bread rolls. We had them straight from the oven with melted butter for our lunch (and snack time!). Whilst eating, we discussed the health benefits of homemade bread (only 3 ingredients) compared to store bought bread. We’ve made boring bread slices into works of art, gave the dinosaurs a bubble bath and practised our hammering skills 💪

🍁Hope everyone feels rested and rejuvenated after a lovely half term!🍁

The second half of Autumn Term starts on Tuesday 😁

This half term, we will be practicing many news skills - including learning to slow down, just as nature does.

This time of year we tend to overfill our calenders and overspend on things we don't need. The environment around us will start to get busy and loud, which is great fun, but our bodies need more rest as the days draw shorter.

We will be having lots of fun, learning tons of new skills, but making sure we have time to come back to ourselves and to nature - in order to stay healthy in our bodies and minds 😊

Current opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am - 2.30pm term time only.
