Last week we enjoyed a fun group game of bowling, split into two lively teams. Everyone got involved, cheering each other on and celebrating every skittle knocked down. Activities like this are wonderful for residents because they encourage physical movement, support coordination, and keep joints and muscles active in a gentle, enjoyable way. Bowling also helps boost mood, reduces feelings of isolation, and gives residents a chance to socialize, build friendships, and share laughter. Most importantly, it creates a sense of teamwork and accomplishment, making it a meaningful and uplifting experience for everyone involved.

🎄 Christmas Craft Morning 🎄
A small group gathered this morning to enjoy some festive Christmas crafts. With plenty of skill, concentration, and laughter, everyone put their fine motor skills to good use — and the results were absolutely fantastic! ✂️✨

Beyond the beautiful creations, sessions like this offer so much more — they encourage creativity, improve focus and dexterity, and provide a sense of achievement. Most importantly, they bring people together, fostering connection, and conversation.

22 Residents spent a lovely afternoon together, honouring Remembrance Day with warmth, respect, and community spirit. We held a 2 minute silence, listeneded to war time music, sang along to songs, and had a fun song quiz, while enjoying a baileys or two, or lemonade.

🌳❤️ A Day to Remember at The City Ground! ❤️🌳

Brian and Sylvia were invited for a truly special day at The City Ground — with none other than Forest legend Mr John McGovern himself! They were joined by Sylvias sister Pauline Fisher and nephew Ian for their amazing journey.

Sylvia has been a proud Reds fan for nearly 80 years, and she even managed to convert Brian from a County fan to a Forest supporter all those years ago — with one condition… if he didn’t switch sides, there’d be no more courting! 😄

Now, 66 years of marriage later, they’re still going strong and cheering on Forest together.

A huge thank you to everyone at Nottingham Forest for your kindness, support, and for making the whole day so seamless and memorable. Brian and Sylvia had an absolutely amazing time — we simply can’t thank you all enough! ❤️👏

Residents enjoyed mindful colouring and making lanterns for our remembrance day displays. We will have a service on Monday morning, and on Tuesday we will raise a glass and have a sing along in the afternoon, to mark the day.
