Huge thanks to Charlotte for bringing her lovely animals in for us again this afternoon for animal therapy, and answering all the residents questions, an absolute favourite of ours 🐓🦔🦎🐍🐇. It's a very calming experience but also lifted all our spirits enormously, with lots of smiles, laughter and bravery. Huge thanks also to gwyneth for helping out ,enabling the residents to handle the animals for longer, very much appreciated. 🙌🥇

National sticky bun day! 🥯🍩🍰🍒our amazing residents enjoyed a relaxed afternoon sampling 4 different sticky buns with a cuppa☕️🫖 whilst listening to several related poems and some interesting facts which sparked lots of great conversations.

Love was truly in the air yesterday as we shared heart-shaped sweets, hugs, and kisses, reminding everyone how important it is to feel loved and appreciated. Residents have enjoyed a relaxing session of mindful colouring, and a fun-filled afternoon of Valentine’s bingo, poetry readings, and a light-hearted Valentine’s quiz. Love songs played throughout the day. I also asked for some wonderful words of wisdom and heartfelt advice on love and relationships ❤️ ❤️❤️

Many will have known Jill as a resident at Aslockton Hall, not aware that Jill was the founder and Matron of the home back in the 1980's.

Coming from a nursing background and having a wealth of experience in care and organisation, Jill was the perfect manager for the home, single handedly shaping the home that you see today.

Jill was passionate about the care provided by her staff and drove performance to it's highest level. A nurse first, Jill cared the most for her residents and ensured that her staff did too.

The home led with it's reputation which was ultimately down to Jill, she was incredibly proud to manage the home and always showed it off to anyone who came to visit.

Jill did not miss a trick, even as she grew older in our care, she was always one step ahead.

We will miss Jill as it comes time to say goodbye. Funeral arrangements to follow

Great craft morning making candle holders, using glue,tissue paper and a few delicate decorations, then glazed over to make them look like stained glass. Each one is amazing in their own unique way. 🙌♥️
