Happy Saint Patrick’s Day from all of us! ☘️✨ We’ve gone full "Green Mode" today!

Our masterpieces are officially on display 🎨, and we’ve been busy decorating (and eating!) chocolate chip muffins piled high with green icing. 🧁💚 We kept the luck going with a competitive round of St. Paddy's Picture Bingo! 🎰

Cheers to the luck of the Irish! Mary is enjoying a crisp non-alcoholic Guinness 🍺, Stephen opted for a refreshing 0.0% lager, and Lesley’s day was made extra special with a gorgeous delivery of surprise flowers. 💐🍻

It’s been a day full of smiles, stakes, and snacks here! 🃏🐎
We truly believe that 1-2-1 time is where the best memories are made. Today, that meant an intense card game with Robert (he’s got a mean poker face!) and a total "gigglestorm" with Wendy over the merits of chocolate pudding. 🍫🍮

The excitement didn't stop there—this afternoon we’ve all been shouting at the TV with a friendly flutter on the horse racing! 🏇 There’s nothing like a bit of healthy competition to keep us on our toes.

The fun didn't stop there! This afternoon, the wonderful Karen joined us at Park House for our weekly chair exercise class. 💪✨ It was the perfect way to stretch out and keep those energy levels high with a bit of chocolate, biscuits and a nice cuppa for good measure 🥰😍

We were back in the kitchen today baking up a storm for our lovely residents! The plan? Zesty lemon-filled biscuits. The result? Well… let’s just say they were an "epic fail" in the looks department, but an EPIC WIN for team spirit! 😂 We haven't laughed that hard in ages!

What a fantastic and busy day we had yesterday here at Park House 🏡

Our morning started with our lovely monthly church service 🙏 which was enjoyed by everyone who attended. It’s always a special time for our residents to come together.

The excitement didn’t stop there! Two of our lucky residents then headed off on a minibus trip 🚐 to Wollaton Park, making the most of the beautiful sunny weather ☀️ And judging by the smiles, the lads had an absolutely brilliant time! 😎👊

To make the day even more fun, it was also Pyjama Day! 🥳 Staff and residents joined in the spirit, bringing plenty of laughs, comfort and great memories for everyone.

Days like this are what make Park House so special ❤️

A lovely little snapshot from today at Park House 🌸🌧️

Despite the rain not stopping all day, that didn’t dampen our spirits! We enjoyed a trip out to Brookfields Garden Centre, where we stayed cosy indoors while having a good look around. Even when we stepped outside, we were nicely under cover – and the colours of the beautiful plants were simply amazing 🌺🌿 The vibrant displays definitely brightened up a grey day!

After exploring, our residents enjoyed a lovely pot of tea and biscuits ☕🍪 – and there were plenty of happy smiles all round 😊

A big thank you to Sylvia for coming in to help on her day off – we really appreciate you! 💕

Back home it was time to relax, with a few nails painted by myself and Chloe for that extra little pamper 💅✨ The perfect way to end a busy but beautiful day.

🍫✨ Chocolate Tasting Day at Park House Care Home! ✨🍫

Today was a very sweet day here at Park House Care Home as we celebrated Chocolate Tasting Day in the best way possible… with 11 different varieties to sample! 😍

From creamy classics to fruity favourites, our residents carefully tasted, rated and chatted about each one. The clear winner of the day? 🍃 After Eights – a big hit all round!
And the least popular? 🍬 Turkish Delight – not quite everyone’s cup of tea this time!

There were lots of smiles, laughter and a few chocolatey fingers too! 🍫😁

What a fantastic afternoon we had with the wonderful Karen leading our chair‑based exercise class!
We love having her with us three times a month — she fills the room with energy, laughter, and motivation.
Staying active is so important for our residents’ mobility and wellbeing, and Karen makes it fun, engaging, and full of smiles every single time.

Earlier this week, it was resident Catherine's turn to have some quality time out. We all headed into Bulwell for a look around the shops before going to KFC (her favourite 😋) for something to eat. On the way home she had a haircut at the local barbers before finally stopping at the "Bogs" to take a few final pictures (They put me in the stocks! 😂) before heading home 🤓👊 A big thanks to Taylor for helping us today too! ❤️ Take a look 👀
