💡 The simple change to help you get on top of stress!

Feeling exhausted, stressed and overwhelmed 😫 can affect your energy, your focus, even your relationships at home 💔. When that happens, something small needs to shift, and quickly.

Try this simple approach (I did this at my most stressed):

⏰ Set your alarm just 10 minutes earlier than usual.
🚫 Get straight out of bed instead of hitting ‘snooze’.
🧘‍♀️ Spend 20 minutes doing something just for you.

For me, this was yoga, for you it could be reading 📖, meditation 🧘, journalling ✍️, a walk in nature 🌳, music 🎶 - anything you know helps lower your stress.

Repeat it each morning, Monday to Friday.

When I made this shift, I felt:

🌿 Less stressed - having time to do something for myself before anyone else got up was a game changer.
😌 Less overwhelmed - I was starting each day calm and composed.

Getting up earlier when you’re already tired isn’t always easy, but sometimes it’s the simplest way to create space for yourself.

😩 If Monday has left you feeling stressed and overwhelmed, try this.

Stress can so easily build up throughout the day, leading to overwhelm and exhaustion.

💭 Taking regular time out during the day to bring yourself back to a calmer state can prevent this.

One simple way of doing this is to sit with your breath for just 3 minutes:

😌 Close your eyes and notice your breath.

How does it feel? (shallow, deep, quick, slow, smooth, inconsistent, no judgement, no right or wrong answers!)

Gently try to send your in breath down into your belly and lower ribs.

Slow each breath down, breathing in and out through your nose.

If you can, try to make your out breath slightly longer than your in breath.

💁‍♀️ How do you feel now?

In midlife:
➡️ your hormones start to change
➡️ sleep becomes more disrupted
➡️ stress from work, family (kids + ageing parents) peaks

But midlife doesn't need to mean a decline in your health.

It can be the start of a new chapter, a new way of living that truly nourishes your body and mind. 🌱
