Meet Wendi 👩🍳🫶🏽
I’m honoured to welcome our new workshop/retreat chef Wendi, whose life and cooking are guided by a deep connection to nature, travel, and conscious nourishment.
Raised on a boat, Wendi learned to cook from her mother using local ingredients as they journeyed around the Mediterranean developing an intuitive, earth rooted relationship with food and the rhythms of place and season.
Wendi later trained at Le Cordon Bleu in London, refining her craft before working in a country house hotel in Kent and then travelling internationally cooking in alpine ski resorts in Italy 🇮🇹 , aboard Mediterranean charter yachts, and for large scale events in Canada 🇨🇦 . Back in the UK 🇬🇧 she ran her own outside catering company, sharing food made with intention and care.
Wendi’s philosophy is simple: food is energy, and energy shapes experience. Passionate about sustainability, she prioritise seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and mindful preparation, creating meals that are grounding, vibrant, and supportive of the workshop/retreat journey.
Wendi’s dishes are designed not just to nourish the body, but to complement yoga, meditation, and inner exploration offering guests a sense of warmth, connection, and presence at every meal.
Wendi and I have shared a friendship and connection for a few years, and I deeply trust her philosophy, presence, and culinary gifts. It feels like a natural and joyful transition to pass the food baton to her. Many of you will recognise Wendi from my Yoga classes, where she has been a committed Yogini, using Yoga as a powerful tool to support her Ironman journey and inner practice.
