We have 2 hampers to raise money for the Blood Bikers who come and collect our afternoon patient bloods to take to the hospital for testing.
Tickets are £1 a strip available at reception. Blood bikers are a voluntary service which supports the NHS and is an excellent service. The Raffle will be drawn on 19th December so please come and buy your tickets now. All monies raised will go to the blood biker service.

We are a friendly, supportive practice of 3 partners,1 salaried GP and 2 GP registrars and also medical students. We are popular with patients who value the continuity of care provided. We are currently seeking a doctor who will strive to provide excellent patient care, while contributing to the management and development of the practice in the ever-changing NHS. We are also very active practice in our Aspire PCN, with one of the GP working as Clinical Director, working collaboratively with Clinical pharmacists, Social prescribers and Health wellbeing coaches.

The post will be salaried, 4- 6 sessions per week.

• 3 GP Partners plus 1 Salaried GP.

• Systmone computer system
• High QOF achievement (consistently > 90%)
• Stable team of friendly reception/admin staff
• Great clinical team including 4 nurses and 2 HCA/phlebotomists

• No Out of Hours commitment. (Sessions are available with the out of hours provider NEMS as well as the City wide extended GP access provider GP+)
• The practice is an active member of Nottingham City General Practice Alliance, a City wide GP Federation (www.ncgpa.org.uk) and part of Aspire PCN9 group of practices.

Aspley Medical Centre are now booking appointments for your Flu vaccinations. Clinics are being held on Saturday 4th for people aged over 65 and Saturday 11th October for under 65's in eligible at risk group at the practice along with various midweek appointments available from 6th October.
Please ring to book your appointment to help keep yourself well over winter and to help the NHS.
All appointments are by appointment only so please ring early to secure your flu vaccination appointment.

Please be aware that due to the resident doctor strikes due to start 25th July at 7am until Wednesday 30th July 7am. What does this mean for our patients?
Unfortunately we will have limited appointments available during this time at the surgery.
If you need emergency care during the strike you should still attend the hospital as normal or dial 999 if it is a medical emergency. If the situation is non-life threatening patients should seek support through NHS111, their GP or a pharmacy.

To provide high-quality front-of-house and administrative support to patients, visitors, and the clinical team at Aspley Medical Centre. The Primary Care Navigator is a key part of the practice team, ensuring patients are welcomed and supported efficiently, with empathy and professionalism at all times.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction & Reception Duties
• Greet patients and visitors politely and professionally
• Answer telephone calls, manage queries and transfer calls as necessary
• Book, amend and cancel appointments via SystmOne
• Deal with requests for urgent appointments and signpost appropriately
• Handle face-to-face, telephone and online queries in a calm and efficient manner
• Ensure all messages and communications are accurately recorded and passed on to the appropriate staff
Administration Duties
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including scanning and filing
• Assist with prescription requests, referrals, and online communications
• Process tasks and messages via AccuRx, Communication Annex and Emails
• Update patient records accurately in line with GDPR and confidentiality policies
• Maintain the reception and waiting room area in a tidy and welcoming condition
Systems and Software
• Confidently use SystmOne, AccuRx and Emails
• Carry out regular checks on appointment books, clinics, and tasks
• Support clinical and management staff in the smooth operation of daily workflow
Teamwork and Flexibility
• Be willing to work flexibly to cover sickness or annual leave when required
