They’re one of the most common long-term changes after stoma surgery — affecting up to 70% of ostomates over time.

A hernia doesn’t mean you’ve done anything wrong. Things like age, muscle + tissue weakness, emergency surgery, weight changes and even coughing can contribute.

✨ The positive news?
Gentle core strengthening, healthy weight management and (if advised by your clinician) a supportive garment can help improve comfort and reduce risk.
