🌿 After sharing gentle ways to calm your mind and improve sleep yesterday, I wanted to show you how these strategies can really make a difference.

One client, juggling a demanding job, young children, and the pressures of everyday life, came to me struggling with insomnia — often lying awake until 4 a.m. Through Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, she was able to reset her sleep patterns and regain regular, restorative nights. She described the experience as “amazing” and felt supported every step of the way.

If restless nights are affecting your energy, focus, or wellbeing, know that with gentle guidance and practical tools, calmer nights are possible. 💜

🌿 Can’t switch off at night? You’re are definitely not on your own.

Many women in perimenopause and menopause notice that their minds suddenly become louder and busier when the day ends and the quiet of night arrives.

In today’s video, I share gentle, practical ways to calm your nervous system to help you gain better quality sleep, like creating a wind-down routine that supports melatonin production, to breathing techniques, noticing thoughts without engaging, and reducing pressure on sleep.

Small, consistent changes can make a real difference. Remember it’s never about forcing sleep, it’s about practising a little self-care and helping your body and mind feel safe enough to rest.

If you’d like extra support to calm your mind and restore sleep during perimenopause or menopause, I offer Solution Focused Hypnotherapy sessions that guide you gently back to a sense of calm and rest. 💜

🌿 You’re exhausted, but the moment your head hits the pillow, your mind won’t stop racing…

If your mind feels busier at night during perimenopause or menopause, you’re definitely not on your own. Hormonal shifts can heighten anxiety, increase nervous system alertness, and disrupt sleep patterns, even if you’ve always slept well before.

Understanding why this happens is the first step towards better quality sleep.

I’ll be back on Wednesday to share gentle, practical ways to help you find better quality sleep and calm a racing mind and if you would like support with poor sleep or a busy mind then please do get in touch. 💜

🌿 Sunday Serenity

This Sunday, take a moment to pause and practise a little self-care. Notice the small shifts and beginnings in your life, your heart, and your mind. Growth might be gentle, but it carries hope with it.

27/02/2026

🌿 How would it feel if growth and self-care no longer felt like a distant dream, something you always have to push for or do perfectly?

Many women I work with are capable, resilient, and exhausted from trying to change through willpower alone. What I offer is a different approach, one that works with your subconscious mind and nervous system to create lasting emotional shifts.

In my work as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, I help women practise self-care in ways that feel aligned, supportive, and sustainable. Through small, meaningful steps, you can nurture your emotional resilience, clarity, and calm, without forcing change or adding more pressure.

Sometimes, one small meaningful step really can make all the difference, especially when it is taken with awareness, kindness, and intention.

✨ If this has resonated with you and you’d like gentle guidance to support your growth and self-care, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

🌿 Gentle growth happens through the small things we do consistently.

Just like the daffodils reminding us that spring is quietly on its way, real change begins when we nurture ourselves with awareness, kindness, and small acts of self-care.

In today’s video, I share a few simple ways to:
✨ pause and notice your responses
✨ practise kinder self-talk
✨ take small acts of self-care each day
✨ trust your own pace of growth

In midlife, there is real strength in our awareness and in our gentleness. While these small actions might seem insignificant, over time they build confidence, calm, and emotional resilience. They help your mind feel safe and supported, allowing lasting change to unfold naturally.

Remember self-care is not a luxury, it's vital to our health and wellbeing. Which of these tips will you try today? 💜

I’ll be back on Friday with a short message about how I can support you.
If this week’s theme has resonated and you’re looking for gentle guidance to support your growth, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

🌸 Who else feels a sense of hope when you see daffodils in the shops? I don’t know about you, but a little bunch always goes in my basket when I see them. Their bright, cheeky trumpet faces always bring me joy and remind me that spring is creeping quietly and gently towards us.

Just like my very favourite spring flowers, growth can begin quietly. In midlife, there is real strength in our awareness and in our gentleness. When you start noticing how you respond and choosing differently, speaking to yourself with kindness, and acting in line with your values, even in tiny ways, you begin to experience hope and growth, slowly, gently and steadily. These small steps may feel subtle, but when practised consistently, they build lasting change. That’s because real transformation happens when the mind feels safe, supported, and when we take small, consistent actions with awareness.

Gentle growth isn’t just about change. It’s about practising small acts of self-care consistently, which support your emotional resilience and wellbeing.

✨ I’ll be back on Wednesday with a few simple tips to practise a little self-care in your everyday life. Remember it’s with small steps that you can start to nurture change that lasts.

💜 What inspires hope and growth in you?

🌿 Do you ever notice your thoughts replaying over and over, worries circling, or “what ifs” going round and round, just as you try to rest or concentrate?

Sometimes one small, meaningful step can make all the difference.

When overthinking feels exhausting or endless, it can be hard to know where to start or how to calm your mind. In Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, we work gently and collaboratively to find small, achievable steps that feel right for you, helping you quieten your mental chatter and that pesky inner critic, reconnect with clarity, and restore balance.

Together, we focus on:
✨ Quietening a busy mind and breaking repetitive thought loops
✨ Reconnecting with calm, clarity, and a sense of control
✨ Taking small, achievable steps that build emotional resilience
✨ Creating practical, manageable ways to feel more present and at ease

Transformation doesn’t come from fixing or even changing everything at once. It comes from noticing what you’re already doing, however small, and letting your brain build on that.

If any of this resonates and you’d like gentle, supportive guidance to quiet your mind and rediscover calm, you’re very welcome to get in touch for a free 45-minute consultation.
Reaching out for support is an act of self-care and kindness towards your mind.💜

🌿 Do your thoughts replay over and over, or do “what if” scenarios keep spinning in your mind? Those constant thoughts going round and round can often feel like being on the waltzes. A fair ride that is definitely not a favourite of mine!

Overthinking is a natural response your brain has to uncertainty. Noticing your thoughts and gently supporting your mind can help create space for calm, clarity, and a kinder relationship with your thoughts.

Here are three simple ways to start:
✨ Pause and breathe: Even one slow, mindful breath can signal safety to your nervous system. Try inhale for 4, exhale for 6–8, letting your exhale be slightly longer than your inhale. This helps calm overactive thoughts and create space for clarity. 🌸 For those who want to try different techniques, I’ve shared 8 gentle breathing exercises in a recent blog - https://katiedeacon.co.uk/blog/breathing-to-calm-your-mind-and-find-balance/
✨ Notice your thoughts without engaging: Simply observe your thoughts as thoughts, they're not problems you need to solve right now. This creates mental space and gently interrupts repetitive loops.
✨ Gentle mindset shift: Ask yourself, “Is this a fact, or a story my mind is telling me?” Even this small question helps break cycles of overthinking and allows calmer pathways to form in the brain.

Today, and as you move through the week, I encourage you to notice when your thoughts start circling or when “what if” scenarios appear. Simply noticing them without judgment is a powerful first step toward supporting your mind.

💜 Small, consistent pauses like these can begin to make a real difference.

I’ll be back on Friday with a short message about how I can support you further. If any of this resonates and you’d like guidance to rediscover calm and clarity, please feel free to get in touch.

🌿 Do you ever notice your thoughts replaying over and over, worries spinning, or “what ifs” going round and round, just as you try to slow down?

This is overthinking. It's a natural response your brain has to uncertainty and a common experience when your mind is processing too much at once. Your amygdala (the part of your brain that keeps you alert to potential threats) can go into overdrive, while your prefrontal cortex (the part that helps you think clearly) struggles to keep up.

When you notice thoughts replaying over and over, feeling endless, this can understandably be tiring and take a toll on your energy, mood, and confidence.

You can support your brain to settle. Gentle, intentional pauses, mindful breathing, or small mindset shifts give your mind the space it needs to work more clearly and calmly.

✨ Even tiny moments of calm can begin to restore balance, clarity, and a softer, gentler relationship with your thoughts.

On Wednesday, I’ll share some gentle ways to support yourself when your mind feels busy and thoughts keep replaying.

Today, and as you move through the week, I encourage you to notice when your thoughts start circling or “what if” scenarios appear. Simply noticing them, without judgment, is a powerful first step toward creating space for calm, clarity, and a gentler relationship with your mind. 💜
