"Is anxiety and depression caused by a chemical imbalance?"

No. This has caused much confusion and got a lot of people on medication for years and years not knowing that your BEHAVIOURS dictate your chemistry in your body! Your body does things for a reason.

Anxiety is caused by a significant emotional event or similar events which then causes your human instinct to kick in to protect the integrity of the body and mind system. Every time your unconscious mind is reminded of those events, your fight or flight response kicks in to protect you, even if you don't want it to.

Depression is caused by your BEHAVIOURS FIRST which then leads to a chemical imbalance or depressed cells. If you try and have an anti-depressant but maintain the same behaviours, you will still have depression because you are not dealing with your behaviours (Cause). Due to depression usually being caused by multiple behaviours, it can be tricky to find exactly which ones are doing it, so The MindBody Project promotes 5 behaviours which are the problem 80% of the time:

1. Mindset
2. Regular Exercise
3. Nutritional Excellence
4. Breathing (Oxygenated Body)
5. Hydration

"How can I overcome waking up every morning in panic and rushing sensations?"

Anxiety is communication from your unconscious mind that you need to pay attention to something or that your unconscious mind needs more information about something.

In the UK, we are not trained from an early age how to use mind body techniques so that we can be flexible with our emotional state.

You need training in how to use alpha brain wave state exercise to deal with anxiety because it's an unconscious mind problem. Traditional interventions will treat symptoms a little but the problem will persist unless you learn the techniques, which you can from The MindBody Project!

"I’m too obsessed with what my wife thinks about me. I am worried she may be getting tired of it."

This is a learned behaviour and maybe due to a significant emotional event, but we can't be sure until we have more information. This person has a high need for certainty especially. We would need more information such as medication (This might be triggering something off), positive intention, and possible triggering events.

It may cause the partner stress if this is daily.

"Please tell me how one turns off their emotions so they can just forget they feel anything at all?"

1. If you are within a year of a significant emotional event happening to you, either get a bereavement counsellor or counsellor. You will need a supportive environment of where you can have someone who you have a relationship with who you can talk about how you feel so they LISTEN TO YOU WITHOUT JUDGING YOU. This will help with healing naturally. If it is after a year and you haven't improved, then you may have unconsciously programmed in patterns that cause pain. You can then use specific techniques to help.

2. Long term change would then require:

1) Burning desire to change (believe it or not, people can put up with a lot of pain and can manage.
2) Faith in the Process - Must have some idea what it's going to take and why
3) Believe YOU PERSONALLY CAN and MUST change TODAY

3. Daily Behaviours to heal and condition body and mind
* Mindset Changes - Beliefs, Congruence, Empowerment, Perception, Capability, etc
* Nutrition, Exercise, Hydration, Breathing - Helps change how brain and body biochemistry functions

"You said eat fruit but I've been told not to eat fruit. I'm really confused!"

The fruit that we eat now is not the same as our grandparents ate. Most of the fruit in supermarkets is genetically modified (GMO). Fruit now has less nutrients and has much more sugar in it that 50 years ago.

Because 60% of the population do not do regular exercise, it's causing excess sugar to be stored as fat. It also causes the blood sugar to spike causing hyperglycaemia. Mentally you may feel this as finding it hard to focus, hyperactive, lack of concentration, or brain fog. It could also lead you to be insulin resistant and eventually develop diabetes type, Alzheimer's, and/or Dementia.

If you choose not to exercise, then reducing your fruit intake might help with normalising blood sugar levels. Focus on eating berries as they have an anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and anti-ageing effect.
