Today, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Prof. Stewart Martin for his exceptional leadership as Director of the Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre since its launch in 2018. His vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment have been instrumental in shaping the Centre and driving forward impactful breast cancer research.

As Prof. Martin retires, we wish him every happiness and fulfilment in this next chapter. His contributions will leave a lasting legacy, and we are deeply grateful for everything he has done.
Dr Andy Green is honoured to take on the role of Interim Director, and he looks forward to continuing the important work of the Centre alongside our fantastic team.

We are absolutely thrilled — and incredibly grateful — to share that the amazing ladies' community has raised an outstanding £3,829.24 to support breast cancer research at the Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre (NBCRC). 💖⛳️. Thanks to Lady Captain Eleanor Chipperfield and the entire Ladies’ Section. A massive thank you to everyone who supported the T***y Trot! Your kindness, enthusiasm, and generosity have helped raise vital funds for breast cancer research, and we are so incredibly grateful.
The atmosphere was amazing — especially with the ladies leading the warm‑up in those gloriously oversized inflatable b**b costumes. Nothing like starting the day with laughter, a little wobble, and a lot of spirit! 😄💗

We are deeply saddened by the passing of , whose strength, compassion, and extraordinary dedication touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Throughout her own courageous battle with breast cancer, Alice chose not to turn inward, but instead to reach outward, lifting others, raising vital awareness, and championing research with remarkable energy and unwavering hope.

Alice was more than a supporter of our mission at the Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre, she was an inspiration. Her fundraising efforts were extraordinary not only in scale, but in spirit. She brought people together, created community, and reminded us all of the power of kindness and determination. Even on her hardest days, she continued to advocate for others, ensuring that future patients and families might face this disease with better tools, better knowledge, and greater hope.

Her legacy is one of generosity, courage, and love. It lives on in every person she encouraged, every event she helped make possible, and every life that will be touched by the research she championed.

Everyone at the Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre sends our heartfelt thoughts and deepest prayers to Alice’s family. We hope they can find comfort in knowing how profoundly she impacted the world around her and how many hearts she uplifted with her strength.
