It is not a willpower problem. It is a biology problem.

Inside your gut lives something called the estrobolome, bacteria that metabolises your oestrogen. When it is disrupted, oestrogen does not clear properly. Symptoms get worse. Belly fat increases. And most women have no idea this is happening.

The other piece?

Most women in perimenopause and menopause are under-eating protein, not overdoing it.

Not enough protein → blood sugar crashes → cortisol spikes → gut bacteria disrupted → oestrogen not cleared → more belly fat. It is a loop.

And it starts with what you are, or are not, eating.
