You need to be patient with laser hair removal, between treatments you will find that your hair growth may continue to come through. In order for lasers to work effectively, your hairs need to be connected to the root at the time of your treatment. You are recommended not to do any sort of hair removal method other than shaving or trimming. This is because other methods either disconnect the hairs from the root with force or they may stimulate more growth in the area.

With so many lasers available you need to match the right one to your skin. Try actual laser and not IPL as this does not tend to give good results. If you are a lighter skin type try Our Alexandrite laser. If you have Asian or Afro-Caribbean skin then try out our ND-YAG laser. At Aurora Laser clinic we use both. In yesterday's Corona virus Bulletin the social distancing guidance was eased. At the same time it was acknowledged that the recommended distance of 2 metres was probably equivalent to 1 metre plus other protective measures.

We have our COVID-19 Protocol ready for re-opening. It includes first-class protection measures and controls. Treatments in particular require us to have strong controls because close proximity cannot be avoided.

Despite this the government has decided not to allow us to open on the 4th of July.

Please be assured that we have worked hard to make our Clinic safe for our Clients and our staff. We are certainly looking forward to welcoming our Clients back as soon as possible.

Our waiting list is now building, so please don't delay and get in touch to put your name in the list.

We would like to remind all of our Clients that although we are distancing we are not distant.

As restrictions start to be lifted we are drawing towards the time when we may re-open. In fact, we are all set for doing so already.

Our Covid-19 Protocol will make Aurora Laser Clinic covid secure.

Anyone can spread COVID-19 infection, even if they have no symptoms. So, when we are able to re-open, our Clients will need to wear something which covers their nose and mouth.

In fact, this will also be a condition of travel soon on public transport.
So, why go to the expense (and delay) of buying masks when you can make your own?

It appears we now have some new potential symptoms for COVID-19. Loss of sense of taste or smell could also indicate possible infection!

These are difficult days, and our Clients' health and wellbeing are at the top of our priorities. We are committed to avoiding the risk of infection or re-infection when we re-open.

But we WILL re-open when it is safe to do so.

We have now received several enquiries for when we are able to re-open. Several of these have asked to be put on a WAITING LIST so that they don't have to wait longer than necessary.

We will re-open when the Government say it is safe to do so. In addition we shall alter things in the, Clinic so that you can be confident we are properly controlling any risk of infection or re-infection. Your health and wellbeing are foremost in our minds.

We were amazed to see on today’s BBC NEWS that 38% of gentlemen’s barbers contacted by the BBC would offer hair cutting despite the current lockdown imposed by the Government. That is illegal. It is totally contrary to what is allowed.

Please be assured we will be re-opening. Your health and wellbeing are of paramount importance to us. We will re-open when we are authorized to do so by the Government. Furthermore, we will then only re-open when we are confident that the risk of COVID-19 infection or re-infection can be controlled to acceptable levels.

DANGER - DO NOT TRY THIS!

In yesterday’s news it was reported that Donald Trump suggested the internal use of bleach and the internal use of ultra-violet light could combat Covid-19.

YOU MUST NOT DO THIS.

Bleach disinfectant products are made for the sole purpose of killing germs and bacteria in high traffic areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE should bleach disinfectant products be administered into the human body through injection, ingestion or any other route.

With regard to ultra-violet light, hair removal and aesthetic laser treatment equipment DOES NOT provide protection against Covid-19.

We desire all our Clients to remain safe and healthy, and this is best achieved by following the Government’s instruction to STAY AT HOME, PROTECT THE NHS, and SAVE LIVES.
