Many changes to policies and procedures have been implemented regarding patient contact and the delivery of care. Our goal is to create an environment where care can be provided in a safe and responsible manner for you that reduces the transmission of the COVID-19 virus as much as possible:
– All patients and visitors will be required to wear a surgical face mask at all times. “The aim of this is to minimise the dispersal of respiratory secretions and reduce environmental contamination.” For patients it must allow a prone position (lying on your front), and must not contain a valve. If you require a mask one may be provided for a fee of 2 pounds.
– Patients must decontaminate hands upon entering and exiting utilizing provided alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
– While measures have been taken to make the clinic environment as safe as possible there may still be some risk. Consent must be given and recorded.
– Electronic payment is encouraged.
All surfaces that patients come into direct contact with will be disinfected after each patient.
Our chiropractor, Adam Kaliff, will wear appropriate PPE as outlined by PHE. He may utilise a respirator in place of a surgical mask. The respirator being of FFP2 or greater. The HSE has stated that FFP2 and N95 respirators (filtering at least 94% and 95% of airborne particles respectively) offer protection against COVID-19 and may be used if FFP3 respirators are not available.
