Nat came to me initially with 4 weeks to go before her photoshoot. We made a decent improvement and the end product was epic šŸ’ŖšŸ½

We’re now around 5 weeks post photoshoot and weight has been steady, gains have been made all while staying lean.

Nats smashed it right from the start and did everything I asked her to āœ…

Enjoying this prep. Been hungry a lot. Didn’t cheat once. Felt tired a lot. Still trained. Early morning starts (sometimes) got up earlier to do my cardio.

At the end of the day, it’s easy. But doing it consistently without wavering, that’s the tricky part

Meet Bob

Bob wasn’t in bad nick before. He had already achieved a good physique himself. He knew how to train. And coming from a boxing background, he already knew how to lose weight. But Bob wanted more.

Then one fateful night, the stars aligned and Bob recruited Coach Bren.

ā€œCoach Brenā€, said Bob. ā€œI’d like to become more. I want to be Leaner, stronger and to maintain an alpha male physique year roundā€.

Coach Bren looked Bob dead in the eye and responded with sincerity; ā€œI got youā€.

From that day, nothing was the same.

What did we do?
- Introduced carb cycling (average cals were 2300 per day)
- minor training tweaks
- added cardio (not much at all, not worth mentioning really)
- utmost adherence to the plan (most important)

It’s been a pleasure working with Bob so far. The goal now is to go through a successful lean gaining phase. We’ve already had a very successful rebound (with no s**t because Bob isn’t a p***y).

Then once Bob has brought up his weak points (there are some but not much), we’ll run through another cutting phase which will be excellent. Hard, but excellent.

I different post today…

A bit about me:

My name is Brendon Francis Walter Micklewright. I’m 33 but look 32. I have a receding hairline so I wear a hat most of the time. Apart from that I’m fairly good looking.

My mum is Filipino and my dad is British. (Sadly he passed away when I was 19). This is why I’m brown and why rice is a staple part of my diet. I have lots of family in the Philippines and I try to see them as often as I can. My UK family, I have a younger brother, James and sister, Christine. They’re both great.

I have a beautiful girlfriend called Jess (she’s great too) and her hairline is fine so she doesn’t wear hats. We’ve been together for just over 3 years, the best 3 years of her life probably. We have 2 dogs; Frankie (2) and Sasha (1). Until I get her up the duff, this is my little family.

I have the best group of friends anyone could ask for. We don’t see each other as often as we used to but we’re all old and married now etc so I guess it’s inevitable. We’re still very close though.

Ive been a coach for nearly 11 years now. I’ve worked with all sorts of people. I started working in Nuneaton as a coach before I opened my own gym in Hinckley in 2020. Unfortunately I had to close only 3 years after opening. Now I exclusively coach online.

I’m also a full time Ceiling fixer. I really enjoy this job. I work all over the country with improving lives one ceiling tile at a time. I work nights so when I message clients at 3 in the morning, it’s not weird, I’m just awake.

I also work with doing brickwork and building maintenance some weekends. I enjoy this too, especially as we get infinite cups of tea and the occasional bacon sandwich from the customer.

I’ve been competing as a bodybuilder since 2015. I’ve never won a show but I’ve always placed high (first call out at least). I love competing. The structure of prep, the challenge and accomplishments and knowing I can better myself every time I’m on stage.

There’s more to me than this, not much more, but I don’t think I talk about myself that much on here. Makes a change from the generic ā€œhow to use creatineā€ posts etc.

Owen’s come a long way (as you can see) but in more ways than one.

I can honestly say he’s an absolute grafter in pretty much all aspects of life, not just in the gym.

The improvements he’s made to his physique since November are evident. And would you believe me if I said we’re just getting started?🤣

Photos speaks volumes!

Using one metric to track your progress can warp your reality of your progress.

James has been working with me for 9 weeks now. His weight has dropped 1.8kg. Bodyfat has dropped from . But the pics really show the progress.
