As I begin my celebrant journey afresh up in the north east and wake up to mornings like this I feel blessed to be helping families once more. For the sun sets and rises and we put one foot in front of the other and we hold our hearts in our hands. And if we can we try to see the beauty in the world.

Sending Christmas comfort to all the wonderful families I have had the pleasure and privilege of supporting this year. I feel sure today is a day of joy but also of sadness yet with the support of others we can sit back and smile for the gift of those we have loved and lost in the depths of all our hearts. ❤️

Great honour to be asked to lead the Christmas Carol and Memorial Service this evening at Great Glen Crematorium. Thank you to Marc and the team for asking. As I put up our tree yesterday I was thinking of those who grieve.

Ernest Hemingway once wrote: In our darkest moments, we don’t need solutions or advice. What we yearn for is simply human connection—a quiet presence, a gentle touch. These small gestures are the anchors that hold us steady when life feels like too much.
